Farrell might lose us two games this series. Explain Yesterday and today for reasons numerous other posters have already brought up.

Ok, the plate ump worked as speed bump before this job, right? Yeah this ump is really awful at his job. I mean, the strikezone has been literally all over the map today.

Plouffe was amazed there. Filthy sequence by Kelly.

Worst time for Kelly to give up his first homerun of the year.

Yeap pretty evident what the Sox need at the trade deadline. Bullpen help. Your "set up" men just blew it. Come back healthy and soon Carson Smith.

Yesterday and today for reasons numerous other posters have already brought up. No... He didn't lose the game for us today...... Our lack of offense and BP did.. And hanley gets a good chunk of the L % because he can't run the bases

I mean, whats the use? I know it probably doesn't mean anything, but you just struck out a guy on 3 pitches. Then you went 0-2 on the next batter. And then you just dicked around and gave a bomb,by throwing over and trying to get a chase. It just seems so unnecessary.

A curveball at the bottom of the zone, hit off the end of the bat and Miller hits it 419 feet. That makes sense. Juiced ball.

Lin-Sanity. Somehow we are a jack away from tying this thing....again.

Look, I am upset now, but this was a very good road trip. Also, I don't fear the Rays winning the division. We are a better team and the will show over 162 games. It does feel like we gave away a split in this series (if we don't comeback)

On the positive side, Sox only have 8 more games against TB left. Neg is Sox have 13 more vs NYY and a losing record vs them so far.

Pretty de-spiriting way to go into the All Star break. Both losses there for the taking - we were clearly outplayed.

Futures game is on MLB Network now. Devers will be up to start the 2nd inning.

Still can't complain with a 3.5 game lead at the ASB without any big first half performances offensively from any of our guys. Really hope Hanley keeps his second half madness up.

I swear, Devers looks younger than some kids that are on Little League World Series teams.

I know this last series was a downer, but just 2 teams won 50 games or more in the AL prior to the ASB: the Astros and your Red Sox. So life's still good and I honestly can't wait until Calm Eyes Farrell wins Manager of the Year just to see some meltdowns around here (:

Scott Lauber, ESPN - interesting observation "Small-sample proof that as Hanley Ramirez goes, Red Sox offense follows: Ramirez went 12-for-30 with 4 doubles and 2 homers from June 29-July 4, and Sox averaged 8.8 runs per game (and went 6-0); Ramirez is 3-for-15 with 1 homer in last four games, and Sox have averaged 2.75 runs per game. "When he has impacted the baseball, we're a much stronger offensive team," John Farrell said." Where does he get his verbs? "Impacted the baseball" ?
