Call me a homer, call me a fanboy. I'm saying the Red Sox are going to get to Carracso tonight. They're going to split this series, they're going to get productive help when the roster expands and they'll make a deep playoff run.

MFY leading the Tigers 7 to 1. We could end up with 2.5 games lead after tomorrow. You just know it's gonna come down to the wire. Sox can't help but make it interesting>LOL

Edit- I just want to again add that it's very ironic that this coaching staff airs on the side of caution with Reed as they let their starting short stop swing a bat with a bad hand for over a month. Watching him "work through" that period as he managed to hit the ball with no authority waa really beneficial to the team. This goes both ways-- you can't criticize Farrell for letting Bogaerts play through injury issues while simultaneously criticizing him for holding Reed out. Just like Farrell, you need to pick one or the other. Yeah and I'd air on the side of playing them more unless there's injury. It just seems like there was a injury there. Reed wasn't injured.

Took Fister all but one batter to blow the lead.

Soreness/discomfort for a pitcher is an injury. Pitching takes a huge physical toll on guys' arms.

At least he limited the damage after the initial bomb. How about five good innings and Velasquez piggy backs on him.

I would of played Xander, because there isn't anything to replace him with really.

Gomes will play up the ballplayer lingo with the best of them. He is decent color guy.

Good signs-- driving in a leadoff double and running up the pitch count.

Thought: Eduardo Nunez is not that good of a hitter and shouldn't be hitting leadoff.

So after looking like a slugfest, the game is now turning into a pitchers dual and is flying. What a weird game.
