Thought: Eduardo Nunez is not that good of a hitter and shouldn't be hitting leadoff. always work out this way. Good work. Thanks.

JBJ. FYI, i had a tooth pulled today and Fister is providing me pain relief at this point. Ouch, stay safe out there, tooth removal pain is awful. Luckily it doesn't look like we'll be grinding our teeth in anger again tonight lol.

Eh, the two are intertwined in my mind, though you're right that he's more of a high-average, lowish OBP guy that, all else equal, you'd rather hit sixth or seventh.
POUR IT ON

It's slightly irritating that JimEd is not here to immediately tell us Hanley's exit velocity on that hit. 😀

OK. Send Fister back out, ut have a quick hook here. I don't think the Tribe will make hard contact, but it is best to play it safe with some guys warming before the inning starts.

That fly ball Devers just hit might have hit the wall at Fenway. His batted ball profile really is great to be in Boston.
Hope JBJ's finger is alright, he was starting to go on one of his streaks.

I know it's early, but did we just potentially pull off a large (Though not full) group reverse Jinx with Fister!?! Is that even statistically possible!?

Maybe Fister should start Game 1 of the ALDS against Cleveland.

Will we all remember where we were the night Fister gave up only 1 hit in 7 innings to Cleveland, throwing less than 90 pitches?!?!!

What a start by Fister. On balance, this has to be considered a net positive pickup by DD.

Good to see Hanley and X picking up the slack from the suddenly tepid Nunie and the kid.

Fister is throwing a friggin no hitter after giving up a homer on his third pitch.

Anyone else noticing that they turned the volume down on Gomes - they are using the "Timlin" setting tonight

I was thinking this the past 3-4 days. It's less obvious when he's white hot. But he's not an ideal leadoff hitter. When Pedroia is back he should hit 6 - 9. EDIT: Devers looks like he could use a day off, too.
