There should be a rule where the Yankees do not have a different strike zone than the opposing team. This will only be cured when the league adopts an electronic system to call balls and strikes. Ok....and while we're at it let's go after the NFL and refs for favoring the N.Y. Giants who beat the Patriots twice for the Super Bowl (yeah right!)...they got all the breaks including that phony Helmut catch....New York bias.....and...and...any championship team that beats the Celtics as everyone knows that the league is biased against and jealous of Boston because of all those banners. The refs in all those sports have been issued an edict...everyone knows these things! Am I right? Tom Brady's suspension says hi.

If the "great" Astros lineup could show up at some point, that would be wonderful.

Wonderful. The Yankees are going to the world series. They are going to have a 50/50 shot of winning it. They'll land Ohtani and win 5 more championships. F*cking awesome.
Meanwhile the Sox won't even have a good number 5 starter next year for 3 months and Hayward is done.
Anyone got anymore bad news to report?

Watching the Yankees go toe to toe with the Astros on both sides of the ball makes me really question our coaching staff, even more so than before. Good riddance.

I couldn't be more depressed than I am right now. It is readily apparently that our managerial staff failed our players. No way the Yanks staff should be having this much success. It is tough to watch

I had to look at the boxscore to see how the Yankees won 2 more games since last night. They haven't even won 1.

Don't know if I'm part of the crowd that this was meant to be directed toward, but in case I am, my comment was not about the yankees winning or losing, it's the fact that they're right there with the Astros game in and game out, which we obviously couldn't do. Seeing that really infuriates the hell out of me, in large part because I do believe in our talent.

You made the comment when it was 2-0 in the 4th inning of a 2-2 series. Even if they don't win, that's just ridiculous to declare it over.

The part that sucks is watching what the Yankee starting pitching has done against Houston compared to what our starting pitching did against Houston.

It's not the pitching. Houston was hitting literally everything the Red Sox threw, even great pitches. Now they aren't hitting anything at all, even fastballs right down the middle. Baseball is frustrating sometimes.

Even if they don't win, that's just ridiculous to declare it over. Houston's choking right now. Their best part of their team has turned into their biggest weakness. The Astros don't have the pitching to keep up if they don't hit at all. Just seems that I'm going to have become Clayton Kershaw's biggest fan once again because the Yankees don't deserve to win a title with how much they strikeout. Due to the juiced ball and their joke of a park, they barely win games with check swing homeruns.

I feel miserable watching the yankees do everything right. On a side note, hearing the tv guys regularly talking up the their young players really get on my nerve.

I cant be the only one sickened by the ease with which NYY have turned the Astro juggernaut into a bunch of over matched little leaguers.

It is tough to watch It is difficult to watch the Astro's lineup suddenly shut down against the Yankees pitching. With that solid lineup that the Sox faced, the Astro's offense hasn't really been there all series. Must be timing - Yankees pitching executing and the Astro's offense spent all of their offensive power against the Sox.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. This Yankee team has no business being 1 win away from the world series.

Jimed I think your suggested bias against Boston/Brady was the strawman...just drawing attention to it. Brady actually was suspended for a rule the NFL doesn't care about, given that the league doesn't handle the footballs at all times. Do you think a Jets QB would be suspended for the same thing? Do you think anyone else would even be investigated for it? It was worse than George Brett's pinetar bat incident, which coincidentally also helped the Yankees. Barnes was actually suspended for not hitting Machado. Betances actually was not suspended for hitting someone in the head with a 99 mph fastball after multiple bench clearing brawls and warnings issued. If you can give me a clear understanding how this is not bias against Boston teams, then I'll shut up. Keep in mind that NY people run both leagues. My suggested bias against Boston is not a strawman. It's actually exactly what I said.

I think you guys need to do what i do: DON'T WATCH.(HAHA>Just a friendly suggestion) I admit it, i can't watch the NYY play in the playoffs, especially when the Sox get eliminated.
This is looking like the 2nd WS in my lifetime that i WON'T be watching. I HATE the Dodgers too. Anyone have a guess what WS i didn't watch? (Obviously it was one the NYY were in)

It was probably just bad timing on MLB's part but you could also add that MLB chose to rule on Sanchez' appeal the day after the Yankees series with the Sox in September.

MLB Gameday doesn't have the correct distance for that 8th inning Turner HR. It said it was 400 feet but looked closer to 500 feet.

Wow, I'd be mad if I were a Cubs fan on that foul tip override from the 3rd base umpire. Granderson missed it by 3 inches.
Cubs could be in trouble with Davis at 34 pitches in the 8th and asking him to get 3 more outs.
