Terrifying stuff with that Jaylen fall, but Stevens said he was feeling fine (or as fine as he could possibly be) after the game so yeah thankfully it looked worse than it was. Awful to watch.

This has been the worst officiated half I can remember. The Pacers are getting literally every call.

These officials were intent on giving Indiana the win tonight.
Edit: Lol at that incompetence from the refs down the stretch.

Daniel Theis is reportedly done for the year. Good thing the Celtics signed Monroe.

Yeah, this year has been a pure gutcheck season for the Celtics. It blows because Ainge was flawless this off-season in constructing the team.

Smart out indefinitely.. torn tendon in his Thumb... Irving is out for the foreseeable future too with right knee tendinitis also. This team is looking like they could get bounced in the first round with all these injuries.

Ainge might be looking bad now that it doesn't seem like the team doesn't have the depth anymore do to anything in the playoffs (no Tyreke Evans trade).
I take back my initial thoughts of a Hayward comeback now. Now that this team has no chance, the team should focus on next year.

On the bright side, we're probably not catching Toronto anyway and we're 7.5 games clear of the third place team. There's 15 games left, 6 against clearly tanking teams. Even if the team punts away the rest of the regular season, there's a decent chance they're not dropping out of the second spot anyway.
I mean, there's never a bright side when it comes to injuries, but I don't think the C's are going to drop in the standings. Which is good, because there's a reasonable chance the Cavs are going to drop to 6th in the standings and regardless of how much they suck I don't want a Lebron team in the first round.

So he would have looked good to trade real assets for a player to take an injured team deeper in the playoffs?

If Smart could come back later in the playoffs, and the Celtics got past the first round with Evans off the bench. Then possibly yes.

That was an inexcusably poor rotation, I'm so f*cking angry right now. A 2 doesn't do anything, guys should be aware and I hope Stevens is murdering someone right now.

I don't even know what to say about that. Embarrassing isn't nearly a strong enough word.

This game made me go through the five stages of grief twice. You can't lose a game like that, but on the other hand they shouldn't even have had a chance to win it. I don't know. Make that FT next time Tatum.

Tatum showed a lot of inexperience down the stretch tonight. Yes he did, he's been hitting the rookie wall a bit for quite a while. I'm encouraged because even when he struggles he's ahead than where Jaylen was last year, but at the same time I question if his upside is as high. Edit: I know that he's crazy young and it's unfair to place ridiculous expectations on him, but I guess that's what he gets for being so good so soon lol.

Honestly, the Wizards winning that game might have been the better outcome. The Celtics are almost locked into the two seed, the Wizards, Pacers and Cavs are separated by 1.5 games in the 3-4-5 seed race, and the Celtics would much rather avoid the Cavs in the second round of the playoffs.

I'm impressed. Basically the Wizards minus Wall had to throw the kitchen sink at the Celtics bench to beat them. A bench minus Theis and Smart, along with no Horford, Irving, or Brown. Monroe changes the team and is a lot better fit then I every thought. Rozier has taken his game to another level. As long as Horford, Irving, and Brown are healthy for the playoffs watch out. You would miss Smart though if we have to play the Cavs.
