I’ve never understood the time out advances the ball rule - dumbest rule in sports but been around forever.

Teams up 3-0 are 129-0 in series wins. We are in great shape. In Jason Tatum We Trust!

Teams up 3-0 are 129-0 in series wins. We are in great shape. In Jason Tatum We Trust! Obviously Simmons is going to win ROY, but boy, Jayson Tatum sure looks like the best rookie on the court. Talk about coming up big...not just this series but stepping in when Hayward went down and getting the job done. He and Brown both took things up a few notches during the regular season, and both have found yet another level this series. Those two and Rozier have really become quite a core for this team. Without jinxing them, I’ll say that if they do end up in the Conference Finals, I think they have a legitimate shot at whomever they face. This group is just playing terrific team ball right now.

So odd to see two of my favorite college players - Reddick and Tatum - going at it on opposite teams. Tatum has so much more potential of course - such a complete player ALREADY. I have to say that Simmons missed jam was a real highlight....

Man I was watching the game with my girlfriend and she legit could not understand how crazy I went after Horford's steal. I'm damn sure I looked ridiculous but goddamn this one was awesome and yet the game was such an emotional rollercoaster, I was sure they were toast after that goofy 2 by Belinelli. How foolish I'm to underestimate them again again and again.
Don't get cute, finish this and let's dethrone the Cavs.

WOW!!
To actually think that the C's could make it to the east finals let alone win with this team just a few weeks ago?? The play of all the young guys and Horford is so impressive, Stevens deserves a lot of credit. Brown, Tatum and Rozier playing about as good as anybody could expect and more. The future is exciting. Did anybody else here see when the camera caught Stevens yelling at Morris? It was good. I think that underneath that young, quiet reserve he shows there is a firey intensity that the players get.
Kind of speechless. We all here have been talking about this being a growing year forever, then when GH goes down it is really a rebuilding year. And this what has been built. Wow!! Who are you going to stop when GH, Kyrie, Brown, Tatum and Horford are on the court together playing unselfish basketball for the next few years?

This might be a bit early but if we have any chance at beating Lebron someone or 2 is going to have to guard him. Who will that be?
Do the Celtics just sweep at this point?

I don't think they sweep, but I think it's over by game 5. Philly is just so freaking stupid though so it could be a sweep though.

Of course it is impossible to tell, but the team looks like it is having fun, has completely bought in to Stevens - has a bit of the Patriots "next player up - no stars" thing going - they believe. It makes them so much fun to watch....I rarely get to watch or listen, but it is a thrilling experience when I get to (like yesterday's game - we are on vacation at the NC Outer Banks and the house gets ESPN...we cut the cable to basic at home, so this is a treat).
Success with this bunch of course sets up complications going forward - moving Haywood and Irving back into the line up will take minutes away from players, upcoming free agency decisions, etc - all good problems to have, and Ainge and Stevens can navigate through it all as well as is possible, I think.

Who are you going to stop when GH, Kyrie, Brown, Tatum and Horford are on the court together playing unselfish basketball for the next few years? This still is a growing year. We are watching the growth. If this hadn’t or wasn’t taking place they would have struggled and been bounced in the first round and we would have said “hopefully, they learn from this”. Instead, they have stepped up their games and are starting to learn how to finish games. This road win was huge for both the players and Stevens as a coach. It’s his first real road win in the playoffs. I give him half credit for the Cavs last year in game 3. They were down 0-2 after losing two at home and then lost in 5. Was clearly a Cavs let down not us taking it to them. This tho was against a talented, even if young, team who was desperate and they were in it the entire game, even controlling things a lot and over came multiple end of game (4th and OT) situations. That’s a hell of a win and a hell of a coaching job. Stevens drawing up plays that got layups at the end of each was special. At first, I didn’t think that Horford play was the first option, but it’s clear now it was; just took a while for the play to develop (by design) to get the switch they wanted.

Hard to say it’s the NBA... we could come out flat or Philly could just quit. This game should tell a lot about the Sixers fight

Can we talk about this logo for a minute? Who approved this? I get the concept and it’s fine, maybe even good, but my god. Couldn’t they have just gotten a tattoo artist to design this thing so the snake didn’t look like crap? What are those circles? Why is the snake chopped in segments? Why doesn’t the body flow? Maybe this is copied from an historic picture that I’m overlooking but even still they should have modernized it and made it look good.
