Devon Fisher to Greenville. Met his mom a couple times when went to Ft Myers and he was with the GCL team. A huge part of his motivation and was really involved with his baseball. Nice lady.

Victor Acosta to Greenville Interesting. Hit .304 with a .797 OPS in 31 games in Salem last year. His placement there was more of a testament to the injury situation in the Salem outfield, but he still held his own.

I think its safe to say that promotions will be pretty aggressive this year (and have been slightly more under Dombrowski than previous).

I think Dan McGrath and Adam Lau are headed to Portland (in NYC and they're certainly not going to Pawtucket).

Dedgar, Pimentel, and much more surprising, looks like Quiroz to Portland. I wonder if that means De La Guerra made Pawtucket.

Butler to Pawtucket; Espinal to Salem. Neither surprising.

Huh. Bryan Mata just posted from Fort Myers. Maybe he is hurt (or at least just a little behind) after all. Recall we didn't see him over our five days in camp.
Edit: Belay that. Looks like the post says he's flying in 2 days, so might just be waiting to go to Salem.

Darwinzon didn't fly until today either, so presumably nothing to make of Mata still being at the Fort either.

Released: RHP Marc Brakeman | RHP Ritzi Mendoza | LHP Alejandro Rodriguez | 1B Raiwinson Lameda | OF Matt McLean Per Matt Eddy. Salem’s projected true bullpen is looking very thin. Helps to have a bunch of swing guys. That’s an interesting roster makeup if it stays like that.

Helps to have a bunch of swing guys. That’s an interesting roster makeup if it stays like that. Thats basically the issue though....there are a ton of guys that could be starters at the Salem level and will therefore get moved into a bullpen or piggyback role. Keep in mind too, that Groome could start in Salem as well pushing yet another guy out of the rotation. If Groome does not start in Salem, he should be there in the relative near future.

Helps to have a bunch of swing guys. That’s an interesting roster makeup if it stays like that. Greenville's had rosters like that before. It's fine because you basically only wind up needing relievers 2 or 3 out of every 5 games. Actually, here's a good example - both Salem and Greenville, end of 2014: www.soxprospects.com/2014SE.htm

I hope all of our minor league players understand that most of April's games are guaranteed to get rained out (especially in Portland) so no worries about bullpen depth and roles just yet. Give it about 4 more weeks. (half joking)

Groome to Salem and Raudes to Portland are pretty agressive assignements IMHO but I honestly love it!

One hell of an interesting Salem rotation there with Groome, Mata, Houck and Darwinzon Hernandez. Jake Thompson is interesting as well.

One hell of an interesting Salem rotation there with Groome, Mata, Houck and Darwinzon Hernandez. Jake Thompson is interesting as well. Yeah that would be insane. That could literally be half of our system's top 10 a couple months into the year.....and probably no worse than 1/3 of our top 15!
