J.D. Martinez has looked awful in the outfield in the 3 or 4 games he's played in so far this year. Like he couldn't play the outfield any worse. Just keep him at DH. He has already cost them a number of runs with his fielding and now we can blame him for contributing to Bogaerts' injury with his horrendous fielding and throwing on the same play. Take away his glove and stick him to DH as he is a butcher in the outfield.

Not sure why Devers left the bag to back up the throw either.

It would be awesome if the Sox could tie it...

Colome is pretty tough but not getting it done so far this year. I'd like to see this cut to one entering the ninth. Devers continues to do well in rbi situations.

Nice hit by Devers.
What is Rem Dog talking about that Devers usually pulls the ball ? I think he goes to all fields.

Comeback stunner in the eighth. I wasn't expecting this on a cloudy Sunday.
And we've got Kimbrel warming.

The 161-1 dream still lives!
I figure we're even with the Rays now. They stole one on opening day. We stole one today.
Hope Xander doesn't miss too much time.

OK... in the future, if I claim to have stuck with these guys, it is a lie. I turned this one off early and only put it back on to see Benny hit that weird double. Great win.
Only asterix: how much do the Rays suck?

The only thing better than Vazquez' at bat was his slide. That extension looks better all the time.

Amazing win. Kind of like a reverse negative of the exact game they lost on Opening Day. That totally avenges the Rays - long with the other 5 wins against them.
I wish they could play Florida teams all regular season long!
I just hope that they don't lose Xander for long and/or his injury doesn't mess him up - he was really blossoming.
And SS is the position where the Sox have the least depth. They could lose just about any other player and be able to plug in a quality depth piece. Nothing against Lin but I don't think he can hold his own offensively if he had to play an extended time and I don't know if Holt can be SS for more than a day at a time.
I hope we don't have to find out.

His poor throw caused Xander to leave his spot. He showed off his magical arm in LF twice today. What, do you think you're watching a soccer game or something? The tortured idea that Martinez caused anything is beyond foolish. Consider taking your dislike somewhere else if you have to contort reality that much.

Lin > Marrero. Although Holt at SS looks like it might be the move, which I don't love. As for this idiocy that Martinez got Bogaerts hurt, I don't understand how one could possibly believe that.

His poor throw caused Xander to leave his spot. He showed off his magical arm in LF twice today. Playing the what-if card is useless. What if Johnson doesn’t let up that hit and Bogaerts gets injured. Johnson’s fault. Devers should have been on the bag; his fault. Bogaerts shouldn’t have lost control of the ball; it’s his own fault. None of these mean anything.

His poor throw caused Xander to leave his spot. He showed off his magical arm in LF twice today. Just stop. JDM had nothing to do with X's injury today. Trying to say otherwise is just foolish.

Martinez couldn't hit the cutoff man twice, including a play at second base. He's hurting this team in the outfield with his play. He just *has* to play there because of money.

A lot more people were blaming the Sox for the Blake Swihart broken ankle in the outfield, for everyone's information. Now it's non sense because of Martinez's garbage arm.
I'm done with this argument.
