And what is going on with Sale ? are his peripherals the same as last year ? He isn't the same pitcher this year, thus far. 2017: 2.45 FIP, 1.0 HR/9, 1.8 BB/9, 12.9 K/9 (led league) 2018: 1.88 FIP, 0.6 HR/9, 1.0 BB/9, 12.7 K/9 (leading league) The velocity is down 1-1.5 mph or so, but he's still been dominant. He also entered tonight with a 1.86 WEA and 0.97 WHIP, so not sure what makes you say this.

The Sox can't hit Estrada. I remember maybe one bad game pitched by him against the Sox and the rest have been 7 inning 1 run appearances at worst.
Devers really needs to stop swinging pitches at this head or teams will keep going there.

Since the no-hitter, Sox hitters have struck out more than 10 times in 4 consecutive games. League leading SLG% with the lowest K% seeùs like a distant memory ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Well at least Holt is still on fire, but now he's coming out of the game with a obvious cramp.

Yeap, Sale and Kimbrel can both take steps back last year and still be some of the best in baseball. That is how awesome they were last year.

OMG !! This team is something on the bases. I think we can safely say that this aspect of baseball was not John Farrell's fault last year.

And Benny is picked off 2nd. This team is putrid on the base paths. Did some of these guys just start playing baseball?

Brutal baserunning continues. Estrada was looking very different with men on base, too.

Benny makes a great baserunning play with the slide at second, but two batters later gets picked off. This team needs a psychology coach with how they run the bases. It's clearly mental at this point. Can't blame the coaches because they've been bad with 2 different coaching staffs.

The baserunning is atrocious. They still make so many stupid outs on the basepaths.
Hope the Sox get their heads out of their butts. If not, their lead with be down to 3 over Toronto and NY (who had the pleasure of the Twins gifting them the entire series - I hate the gutless Twinkies!!!)

The offense is going to have to get it together tonight and put some runs on the board.

Everything hit is a line drive off of Sale.

Lots of hard contact given up by Sale the last couple of outings.

According to Sean McAdam, Holt out with hamstring - will be further evaluated. Does he go 10-day DL for Xander? I hate to see Holt as the only MI on the bench if he's not 100%.

Mookie has about ten 400-foot outs this season already.
