I liked Joy Foe as a kid I thought he was going to be great. I have not thought about him for years.

Swihart’s speed is a huge asset as a catcher

Jackie's been blistering the ball since June, good to see him rewarded more now

JBJ would be better served trying to go that way on ground balls for his batting average sake. Pedro said it earlier... but when JBJ hits oppo with authority, he is tough. He seems to get pull happy at times... then, not so tough.

Ryan Brasier is the man. Five more years of control.

Brasier looks the part of a high leverage arm. So glad this guy came out of no where.
Guidas made a comment saying he could be a option as the 2019 closer and I don't think he was that far off.

Swihart’s defense looks good to me. Not Leon or Vasquez good, but not at all a liability. And he is by far the most athletic of the three. I’m a big Vasquez fan, but I am now in the camp that wants a Leon/Swihart tandem in 2019. See what can be got for Vasquez.

Yeah Vazquez does seem like a good trade candidate, but it's hard to know for sure. The Sox might be high enough to not want to do that.

I think that Xander's hand is fine. He is back to ripping the ball. Add JBJ...JDM... Mookie, etc. roll on the trains!

I'd have thought that if the ball went into the stands on the wild pitch, they'd get 2 bases and as such 2 runs.

That’s huge praise, but I don’t recall seeing him play with this looseness — I love it. He’s always gotten jerked around: leftfield, spotty chances, etc. But now... he looks calm and sure of himself. I could imagine Posey-like play and even leadership. Especially with ‘Tek camp.

Moreland is actually not very good at stretching fully to receive throws. Didn't get full extension there, and if he had he'd have gotten Mallex. Merloni has mentioned this in the past, and the Rays broadcast just brought it up on that play.
