Gonna trust Matt Chatham on this one. Hes more colorful about it but basically says it's too complicated to add a DB and make him functional in the Pat's scheme at this point.
NOT comparable to adding Harrison at DE last year.

NOT comparable to adding Harrison at DE last year. Perhaps but he’s really good and even getting him into the system for next year is probably worthwhile. He might be too loud mouthed for here but those guys tend to shut up in Foxboro

Claiming him for next year, I'd be okay with. Agreed.
Looks like Arizona got him.

I can't think of a more anti Patriot player frankly than a guy that calls out his coaches all the time.

Bad histories sure, just not anti team type guys that call out the coaches. This isn't a one time type thing with him either.

The 2 seed belongs to the Pats. Took a lot of good fortune, but glad they got it.

I’m convinced McDaniels/Belichick sometimes calls lousy plays just to hide the good ones and to be able to call the team out for less than perfect execution. That 4th and 1 draw to White was so dumb.

I know it's the Jets, but it is good to see a crisp performance by the offense, some on target throws by Brady, and an effective defense...we will be going into the playoffs on a high note (as long as we close this game out with no misadventures). And just as I type it, a bad offensive penalty on a big Gronk gain. arggggh

Except in November through January. Honestly my only rooting interest in football is that the Cowboys lose. They're like the MFY for me but on a smaller scale of course heh

We had this debate last year that the Eagles were lucky that Wentz got injured because no way he plays better than Foles did. Well a year later Wentz is 5-6 as a starter and Foles is 4-1. Heck Foles even has the higher QBR. Wentz is 26 and Foles is 29, so there is some massive age difference. He just seems to run the offense better. I don't watch a ton of Eagles football, but it looks like last year where Foles quick release is the difference. Makes it a lot harder to get preasure and sack him.

I don't watch a ton of Eagles football, but it looks like last year where Foles quick release is the difference. Makes it a lot harder to get preasure and sack him. Wentz was not close to 100% season. Before he went out with the bad back, there was a report that he still could not plant his lead foot which is the leg where he tore his ACL/MCL/LCL last year. And we should know by now that footwork is everything for QBs. And the reason why the Eagles lost most of their games this year was their defense which was decimated by injuries. The defense completely fell apart late in a handful of games, including against Carolina, Tennessee, and Dallas twice. All of those were Wentz losses. Pederson seems to be great in preparing the offense for Foles, but not for Wentz for whatever reason. It's a lot simpler for Foles. They probably rushed Wentz back too quickly this year, but he's clearly better going forward. The other issue that Wentz had was the lack of a running game between losing Ajai while everyone else was also out and when Josh Adams established himself along with Sproles and Smallwood coming back from injuries. He also had issues with taking sacks, I imagine because he was used to escaping sacks with ease until he hurt his knee and had to adjust to getting rid of the ball more quickly. I wouldn't put the win/loss records on either QB this year. They have had pretty good QB play overall all season with the exception of the New Orleans humiliation. Between the two of them, they passed for 4524 yards, 29 TDs 11 INT and a 70.5% completion rate. Brady also had 29/11, which is kind of a fun fact.

Too early draft talk but Noah Fant will be the Patriots first pick. All around Tight End who can block and be a versatile receiver and he plays at Iowa. It’s basically a lock unless he goes before them.

I'm going DT over TE in the first round. You worried that the Pats won't be able to resign Flowers?
