Based on 12 atbats or something deeper? He cannot catch up to 97+ at all no matter who the pitcher is. Any source on this? He has a 155 wRC+ career against fastball. Kinsler is 133. I don't have any quick way to check on 97+, which Verlander doesn't even throw on average.

Unfortunately, Mookie has to lay off that. Verlander's tough but you can't swing at pitches at your eyes. Tough break, but at least Verlander's working.

Swuander. Mookie still looks like he’s pressing or trying too hard to prove the MVP thing.

He was 0-4 with 3 Ks against Verlander in game 1 and wasn't even close to making contact.

Betts has been booty at the plate all playoffs. Maybe he's shook. Luckily he's obscene on the bases and in the field.

Holt also went 0 for 4 against him in game 1. We are up 3-1 in the series let’s enjoy the game

Would have been great to score, but making Verlander work is a small victory.

JBJ made a nice play to cut off the runner to second. Defense has been so important in the outfield this series.

Cora again wanted a LHB for pinch hitting duties, since Moreland had good numbers against Verlander, the defacto LHB to the bench was Holt. Cora said this over the radio.

Price getting weak contact in general and throwing a ton of strikes so far. Awesome stuff.

he's also actually using his changeup this time...12 of them, when he had like 2 through 3 innings last time out.

Change-up is a touch pitch and Price is feeling it tonight. Perhaps he does pitch better in warmer/climate controlled weather.
