I truly think it might have something to do with pitching in warmer weather, as guidas mentioned earlier. Remember the "cold" game in the early season where Price couldn't feel his hand? |

I'd be furious as an Astros fan. That missed strike might be the most obviously wrong strike call I've seen int he playoffs this year. It got a ton of the plate.
I've never seen the Red Sox catch breaks and have the umpiring go their way like they have in this series.

Verlander is Verlander, but he is not sharpest Verlander - would be good for our hitters to work him a bit. Get the pitch count up, and get him out of there.

I've never seen the Red Sox catch breaks and have the umpiring go their way like they have in this series. but the pitch before it was a strike called well off the plate...that's how it goes sometimes |

In a way it was the ump giving payback. It seems like that happens some. |
