I just can't say enough. Price was f'ing amazing. Let me say again. Price was so amazing. I love it. Unlike other big free agents that initially didn't work out like Crawford and Sandoval, Price's work ethic is unquestionable. Even when he's throwing cheese he never just gives up. I love that mentality, if we win this he's an absolutely HUGE reason why.

Who’s polishing off the most beers on the team flight back to Boston?

The Astros might be a historically talented team, but the Red Sox are just better.

So Wright will likely get added and Hembree removed. Swihart’s roster spot is wasted. Somebody has to sit in the NL home games.
Good problems to have.

Who’s polishing off the most beers on the team flight back to Boston? The answer to this question is always Wade Boggs, by the way.

The Astros might be a historically talented team, but the Red Sox are just better. Maybe the Yankees and Astros had a higher quantity of talented players, but the Sox know how to play clutch and win games.

In our post season victories, we are averaging 7.3 runs per game, giving up 3.6 runs per game. Championship baseball - and Mookie hasn't gotten going yet!

Who’s polishing off the most beers on the team flight back to Boston? Kelly just seems like he’d be the most fun guy on the roster at a party.

So happy for David Price tonight, for a guy whose teammates clearly love him, who clearly cares about winning, and clearly has struggled emotionally with the negative perception he's received tonight must feel so good.

6 IP, no runs, 9 K's on 3 days rest after throwing heavily in the pen the previous night to get your team to the WS? Are you kidding me? Stuff of legends...

I just can't say enough. Price was f'ing amazing. Let me say again. Price was so amazing. A couple days ago we were talking about how smart it was that the Red Sox were walking Bregman every time and Price made him look silly tonight.

The Red Sox should try the “win 4 in a row” strategy next series. Could happen. We only lost one each to the second and third bast teams in baseball.

I think the Dodgers and Brewers have more left handed bats than Houston and New York do. Poyner? Johnson? Pomeranz?

I’d just like to pause for a moment. Preseason, the Sox wereconsidered a strong team but behind NY, Houston, and arguably Cleveland as far as contending. They were the presumptive WC by most talking heads and given little chance in the expected DS match with favorite Houston or NY.
They went 20-9 in ST and it was ST, so nobody *really* cared. More or less rightfully so, but their style, approach, swagger were very different from the last two iterations.
They promptly went on a stupid-good run, at which point a few folks started giving them a legit chance at the East.
NY came roaring back from an uninspiring start, and took their (presumptive birthright) spot atop the East in June, at which point many (of us included) nodded as of order had been restored.
And then, the Sox went out and did exactly what those talking heads thought NY would do: dominate. Consistently. Convincingly. And they never once looked back.
With a bit of a stumble against TB in a simply very good rather than outstanding finish, they fell short of MLB history and relegated themselves to Red Sox history. And in doing so, back they were in the minds of the experts to their spot behind NY, Houston, and arguably Cleveland. Somehow, the 108-win team was the underdog when the series against NY began.
The Sox split in Boston, and it was to be two in NY for the home team sweep. 108 wins, and the Sox were supposed to be scared. So what did they do? Give the Yankees their worst-ever playoff throttling, before ripping their hearts out Mortal Kombat-style.
And then it’s the Astros. Houston put an all-time whupping on Tito’s boys, and the defending champs were presumptive favorites across the board in nearly all media. The ‘Stros were (are) a fantastic team whose record belied their dominance in the regular season. They, not the Sox, were the team to beat.
So the Sox did it. Easily.
I’ve never ever heard of a 108-win MLB underdog, but that is bizarrely their role. Until now. And I don’t see the script flipped. This team has no fear. One man down, two pick him up. All. Year. Long. Prepare for the Cora-nation. They just flat TCOB.

Swihart's presence allows Cora to maneuver at every position except shortstop and there isn't likely to be any maneuvering at shortstop.
