They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

So, after 4 games, JDM and Raffy are off to good starts. Mookie should be poised for some big games. JBJ, Xander, Benni and Nunez are off to very cold beginnings. Brockstar, Swihart and Travis barely got their feet into the box.
Pitching - what are 10.38, 10.80, 13.50 and 21.00? Why, the ERA of four of our starters (ouch!). Only one way to go from here. Five of our pen arms have clean slates as to runs. Johnson and Velazquez at least ate up some innings. Thornburg...still don't know what we have there.
Time to get with the program, team!

I hope we aren't giving up on Mookie at #2 in the lineup after one series loss...

Hopefully they play better, even in this sh*thole park.

Changing the lineup because that’ll help the starting pitching.

Ok. I gotta ask - is something wrong with Holt? Why isn't he playing against the righty and why didn't he pinch-hit against the righty in the 9th inning yesterday? Is there a physical issue of some sort? Not sure why Nunez would be a better option on defense or against righties?

Also not a fan of having Benintendi and Devers back-to-back in the lineup - good spot for a LOOGY there. I do like Mookie leading off, but if Benintendi has a better season than last season and Mookie isn't as good, but is still better, wouldn't he be better maximized in the #2 hole?
They're not 1-3 because of their offense, although a couple of clutch hits here and there would have helped their cause.

Whats the point of having replay if you miss an obvious safe call? his front foot touch the base way before he was tagged

The obnoxious horns don't really give me a great incentive to stay awake for this entire series.

I really hate when we play in Oakland...the stadium, the team, and the fact that we don't ever seem to play well
