They might have Gary Sanchez, but we have Sandy Leon.

Lol. If everyone could be like you..... No one is dumb for making suggestions. Fans can handle winning or losing in any way they want to. You should go live in a communist country where everyone is told what to watch, who to vote for, and told what to do. It would make life much simpler for you and the way you think. There's a line from a movie (maybe Beautiful Girls) where a guy says to his buddy "I bet you $100 that my wife is cheating on me." His buddy replies "What's the point of that bet? If you're wrong you're out $100 and if you're right your girl is cheating on you." Going through life with a half-empty glass is no way to live. Lol, but OTOH, the pain is lessened either way. All depends on perspective. FWIW, I love this current team and its bunch of guys, and I love coming on this board and talking baseball. I’m pretty sanguine about “issues” and “needs” for the team; i think they’re often grossly overstated and media/casual fans incredibly reactionary. I’d say I’m pretty optimistic for a Sox fan who grew up with the ‘80s-90s iterations (and some ‘70s, though I’d be overstating my understanding if I claimed I really “got” it back then). And tbh, I think jimed is largely right re: the perception of many Sox fans on how to build an org...lots of fans (less so here, obviously) want to do silly deals and spend like they’ve got Brewster’s millions, with absolutely no eye towards any future. But there’s also a lot of legitimate criticism of the way the team is running, in that despite the championships, they’ve made quite a few major tactical errors. I think it’s ok to want the team to be better, while still not taking WS wins for granted. I got to G2 in ‘04, and it’s one of my life’s true highlights. But ‘05 still bummed me out.

Porcello has never really been master of the shut down inning. On the cusp of disaster right now.

Three hard hit balls and now the routine Gardner squibler base hit.
This is going swimmingly.

Well, we are going to get into our pen early again. Porcello simply has nothing. Sad.

All year we have followed up every run we score with giving it right back. It’s embarrassing

Reminiscent of the Sox lineup last year. They MFYs lineup just keeps the line moving.

This is right where the Sox lineup has fallen asleep all season long now. Pick it up guys. Get to German.

7 strikeouts in 3 innings for German. The Yankees can lose Severino and Paxton for a while and get German stepping up with ace-light numbers. We lose Eovaldi and have....Ryan Weber and Hector Velazquez...yea...

2-3 more innings until the Sox get to the Yankees bullpen again. Looking forward to that.
