I had this team winning 6 of 7. 5 of 7 would have been understandable, but disappointing, but to win 4 of 7 against 2 teams fighting each other to get the worst record in baseball? Now it's 14 straight against winning teams and the Red Sox haven't shown any consistency in winning those games. This has the potential to get real ugly, real fast.

This wouldn’t happen with Nunez in the lineup.

They better not trade anymore prospects. This team isn’t making the playoffs if they struggle to beat other bad Teams.

Dropping a series to the o’s should count double for losses. I think it does. Meanwhile, the Pawsox no-no is gone in the 7th. The Unknown Lefty was 43-26 for his 2 innings pitched.

And honestly, I know we can quibble and say they could have won games they lost, but there's one game against Toronto that they really shouldn't have won. It's not like they rolled these teams.

The Sox should be prepared to be loudly booed when they return to Fenway. And it will be 10000% deserved.

Hey, man, I’m happily shining my World Series ring (proverbially speaking, that is) and musing over how hard this game is. Can’t win every year.

Indians just won. Rays going into the bottom of the 8th at home with a 4-2 lead. Athletics losing 4-0 to the Twins. Still early.

Teams that are destined for great things don't lay so many smelly turds like today's game. What will Cora say now? Cashner? The absent bats?
Beyond embarrassing

What happened to Beni's power? no idea, but it's embarassing to appear on a home run list next to guys like Mallex Smith...Benny really is better than that

Had to do some research - how we do this year after a blow out win
Wed April 24 Detroit - 11-4 win followed by a 7-3 win April 29 Oakland 9-4 win followed by a 5-1 win May 4 White Sox 15-2 win followed by a 9-2 win May 6 Orioles 9-2 win followed by a 4-1 loss May 10 Seattle 14-1 win followed by a 9-5 win May 12 Seattle 12-2 win followed by a 5-4 loss May 20 Toronto 12-2 win followed by a 10-3 loss May 23 Toronto 8-2 win followed by a 4-3 loss May 27 Cle 12-5 win followed by a 7-5 loss June 4 KC 8-3 win followed by a 8-0 win June 5 KC 8-0 win followed by a 7-5 win June 14 Baltimore 13-2 win followed by 7-2 win July 12 LA 8-1 win followed by 11-2 loss July 20 Baltimore 17-6 win followed by 5-0 loss
So we are 7-7 in games following blow outs. Feels worse than that because it just feels bad to follow a huge win with a flat loss, I guess (perception bias)
