In case anybody is paying attention, Devers got a single in today's game and is now has seven consecutive hits.

Say what you will. If offered a 1 for 1 swap for Devers for Trout, I'm not taking it.

And Xander hits the cheap ass juiced ball home run as well. 93 mph 343 feet

And Xander hits the cheap ass juiced ball home run as well. 93 mph 343 feet Well both homers were over the middle of the plate. That’s what happens.

Honestly, they're both having fantastic years, with Trout being better, but Devers is 22 vs 27 and is on a very team friendly deal while Trout has a record breaking contract. The value for Devers and his potential upside as he gets older is unimaginable. With Trout, there's a track record for sure. I do consider him the best overall player of all time.

Devers' home run was on a pitch on the outside part of the black. Xander's home run was on a 94 mph fastball at the very top of the strike zone. They were not bad pitches and they were both pretty cheap home runs product of the juiced ball. Just like most of Sale's home runs lately, especially that routine fly ball last night.

That was a ridiculous bounce that should never happen on a major league field.

Those errors are frustrating. They are, but I know he has plus range so it balances out. He'll get better at making the sure play, but his error and home run kind of cancels things out.

that wasn't his fault at all, the Indians announcers were incredulous he got an error given the bounce

There is only one way to pitch to Devers. Don't throw anything over the plate and hope he expands his zone or takes a walk.

Xander signing before this season was a massive coup
PS: those two extensions ATL got on Acuna and Albies are ridiculous

Can the Red Sox bring back Cashner for the bullpen next year? That's 2 good innings in a row. Not used to that.
