41 shots 1 goal, you could say Rask stole a big one. To be clear on my Rask comments from yesterday. 1. Never said he’s never stolen them a game. I was referring to the Stanley Cup finals when i mentioned the “couple chances hes had”. 2. I love Tuuka and think he’s great - said it before worth saying again. 3. Didn’t blame him for not winning in 19 or even 13 but 13 there were a couple weaker goals that did cost them. 4. When i said he’s not worth 7m. I was referring to the Bs next year and going forward. He’s going to be 35/36 on this next contact if he gets one. I’m not paying that much for him with his injuries and the young goaltending they have. I think they are better off re-allocating that money for a young stud center that can be a number 1 going forward, if they can find that guy. A couple may be available. We can talk more about that in the off-season.. hopefully 2 months from now. Great series win. Got to love how they remade the team at the deadline... when does that ever happen to this degree? To be clear I agree with you completely on Rask. 1,2,3,4 yup Thing is as I said with Rask before, he doesn't look like he is standing on his head because he is so sound he makes it look easy. Everyone loves those acrobatic saves that he doesn't really have to make because he is always in position and under control. Thus people don't think he is standing on his head. I think their is a good chance he takes that team friendly deal as he doesn't want to retire nor play anywhere else. I also think he will see the value to the team if he does so AND maybe he wants to endear himself to a fanbase that has been tough on him. We can hope and we shall see. The deadline deal is a grandslam for this year and I think years to come. If Tukka takes less they should be able to resign both Hall and Reilly. AND isn't it nice to have 2 really good lines. No team in the NHL can boast a top 6 like the B's. Like I said before, if Pasta can get on one of his rolls they could steal a Cup. AND I am almost afraid to even mention the overall health of the top 6 forwards..... which I am glad to see the Caps round end early.

Tuuka is a very fundamentally sound goalie who plays behind a fundamentally sound defense - it’s been a great marriage. Tuuka has also changed his style to evolve with the game. He came in as a butterfly goalie, which was the style of the time and since then that style started getting exposed more and he’s adjusted to be more upright and staying on his skates.

So, we get the Islanders. Better match-up generally, imo, and we get home ice. But that rookie Goalie makes me nervous.

Could be misremembering myself lol

Bruins are going to keep rolling with Pasta being the engine and Rask continuing to be very solid. Bruins in 6, maybe 5!
B's 12-5 to end their season and that includes a giveaway game to end it. Isles 6-10 to end theirs.

Lauzon is back.
Please, just hit people, zero giveaways. Don't try to do too much, keep it simple.

Pasta with his streaky scoring record is the type of player that can carry a team to a CUP. AND Cups are really hard to come by, hopefully this can be one of those years as the window seems to be closing with Bergeron and others reaching mid 30's. A Cup would make this a special year for Boston, there has only been one in 50 years.

If the Islanders don't find a way to slow down the Bergeron line, this will be a quick series. Any word on Craig Smith's status?

All we will hear is that it is a lower body injury and he is day to day, NHL teams never give out much info and especially during the playoffs. He did miss time on the ice yesterday.

Good to have him in the lineup but if he needs a few days might be best, long road ahead.

With the extra day off, I'd think he has a good chance of being back Thursday (just my guess, of course). DeBrusk to second line, Kuhlman to third today.
