I drink the Yorke koolaid, but I think you're the champion Yorke koolaid drinker. I don't know if Yorke winds up at 2b or LF. I'm hoping it's 2b. At worst I'd think he can be Todd Walker as a 2b, but he could be closer to Pedroia offensively. As far as Soto goes, Trout is still the best offensive player and his teammate Ohtani is the best player in the game. Nobody can do what he does. Soto is awesome and I think eventually (perhaps sooner or later) he'll supplant Trout as the best offensive player, although he could wind up behind Wander Franco, too. Acunas will be pretty close to Soto as well. As far as future Red Sox Soto.....there's probably at least 15 teams that can make that claim as well. It's hard to imagine Bloom is going to tie up $500 million or whatever on 1 player to be honest, but it is nice to dream.

Igelsias is not exactly having a career year, but he played in 114 of their 134 games, costs 3.5M$ and produced positive WAR...

Not being snarky… legitimately asking how you see him. If his fielding is down, how does he help more than Arauz, for example?

He could easily be a future Yankee or anybody else just as easy as future Red Sox. If it makes you feel better we can call him future Dodger Juan Soto as if that really matters.

Not saying they WON'T sign him but it's not as obvious a fit as it might've been even 2 years ago.

The loss of Jonathan Loaisiga for the Yankees could be devastating. It's far worse than a Covid sit down. Strained rotator cuff means he's very likely done for the year or ineffective and setting himself up for serious injury if he tries to come back. He's been easily the Yankees best reliever.

Very random but I just checked in on Joe Beimel and this dudes gonna get back to the majors if his arm doesn’t give out, I guess he can be this years incredible comeback story
The last time he pitched anywhere was Indy ball in 2017 where he was fortunate to have a 5.50 ERA. It’s truly remarkable

Yankees disintegrating. Britton out for the year. Taillon and Loaisiga as likely as not done for the year and Cole...who knows? Considering the Yankees shot Loaisiga up with cortisone and then ran him right back out you have to take with a grain of salt any of their sunny reports. I mean Tallion has a small tear in a right ankle tendon and the Yankees are acting like he'll be fine in 10 days. Not only do mature men have to subject to the Yankees' Catholic grade school dress code they are expected to throw away their careers for the privilege of being treated like children.

Trading away Luis Cessa at the deadline looks really bad. I get they cleared payroll with Wilson’s salary, but their bullpen is crazy thin and that payroll was for Gallo and Rizzo, which hasn’t really served them well

This is like several years in a row now where they've had really bad injury "luck," and you do start to wonder if there's an issue with something in their conditioning or treatment practices.
By the way, remember Severino? That guy is starting to drift into the sort of setback purgatory that players tend to never fully extricate themselves from.

Man, Yankees got 2/3 of an inning scoreless from Heaney… can’t let that sort of pitching performance come to nothing!
