These yellow and baby blue uniforms are worse in person than they seemed like they might be two weeks ago. OK, they are meant to honor the Marathon, although I have never associated those colors with the Marathon. And I paid attention to it. My college roommate ran in it. But even forgiving all that, for the ongoing affection we have for the Marathon and its place in the Boston sports firmament, I would have preferred to see Boston spelled out in Red Sox script than in what they have chosen. And, notice please, that the B on the caps is in Red Sox script. I hope it sells a lot of replica uniforms. As for me, I will honor the Marathon in my Boston Strong T Shirt. That damnable font is my only real problem with it. Ugly and boring on its own terms, and out of sync with both the numbrs and the B on the cap. |

My wife loved the sweat shirt. Thinks the colors will make it popular. I get it, but I am not ever going to like it as a baseball uniform. As for candy apple red for the MFYs, can you imagine a game between Sox and Yankees in those colors?? Will Phillies wear cheesesteak colors? How about the Giants in LGTGQ rainbow? The Padres in Guacamole? The Angels in Mickey Mouse complete with ears? The Nationals in red tape? The Cards in Mississippi River mud? |

And since we’ve on the subject, I really dislike the Patriots flying Elvis logo. The original Pat Patriot logo was classic.

Definitely liked the uniform style for a once in a while thing....Maybe they could put some red on it and not have a clash. I wonder whether a darker blue would 'play' better as well. Robin's egg blue seems a bit wimpy.

Some of uniforms are ok once in a while, but these I would donate to a primitive native African tribe as emergency clothing hopefully to be never needed!

I don’t believe you will find many/any primitive African tribes anymore. Just a continent on the rise. There are a few unspoiled tribes left in The Amazon, but Bolsenaro and his heavily armed goons are fixing that. Give to the goons, maybe the not yet “civilized” tribes will see them coming and hide. Remember what Ghandi replied when asked what he thought of western civilization: he said “I think it would be a good idea.” |

Pardon me for being a couple of weeks late. The Swedish hockey team colors are also the colors of the Swedish flag. You will see those colors on the unis of every Swedish national team of any sport. |
