If Richards has figured out his mechanics, this is a legit rotation when Sale comes back.

Perhaps the rumors of Richards demise were a little premature and we should maybe shut up about calling him garbage and acting like he’s never been good when healthy
Perhaps calling for somebody’s job in mid April is overreacting a little

I’d imagine Garrett Richards has not had a good nights sleep on most of the nights he’s pitched. Dude is gonna sleep like a lil fat baby tonight!

I feel bad for Franchy, he looks like he's just trying to survive right now when he swings.

Am I the one overreacting or was it maybe the people wanting to kick a bonafide MLB starter to the curb after 4 starts?

The flip flopping is laughable on here. If Richards is all of a sudden a stud then kluber is in the hunt for the cy.

The flip flopping is laughable on here. If Richards is all of a sudden a stud then kluber is in the hunt for the cy. He’s been pretty bad. Posters here discuss that. He shoved tonight in a way that is remarkable departure from his previous outings this year. Posters here discuss that. What should we talk about if not that? His performance flip flopped and so did the commentary on him.

Linder.....is that the same guy who used to be an All-star in Cleveland? O’my he has a .593 OPS.....looks like he caught New Yorkitis from Sonny Grey.

We forget how valuable a merely slightly above average starting pitcher is

I have been a lurker here for some time now. Started posting because I have more time. This board, and the Sox Nation, has always focused on day to day results. But we can agree that Richards was and remains a ten million gamble. One great outing gives us all hope, but I intend to wait a little longer with my fingers crossed before calling him the next coming of Jim Lonborg.

It was clear that command was the problem. Tonight it wasn't. He deserves some props for that.

Oh for sure but I’m not calling him anything, I’m merely stating it was dumb to write him off given his track record as a solid starting pitcher
