Hunter is really starting to play well on both sides. Maybe we have something here? Duran, Verdugo, and Hunter OF is pretty good

If Hunter and Dalbec can start to add some HR power with a .250 avg, maybe some OBP, this will be a much better offense. ADD: I just won the Captain Obvious Award

Nick Pivetta is becoming my second most satisfying acquisition on this roster (nobody is in the conversation with Whitlock).

For the record, Hunter Renfroe for $3 million with two team option years was an excellent signing.

Devers saw exactly 1 strike in that AB. Chased 4 bad, bad pitches and struck out on one that was 2 inches off the ground.

If Pivetta walks no one, Pivetta is a top-line starter. Seems kinda basic. His stuff is great, but for a while he didn’t know where it was going.
Now? Looks like he does.
Honestly, are they paying Bush enough?

Kyle Hart has thrown a no-hitter through 6 innings for Worchester.

Am I crazy to think that if I had to win one game with the current staff (Sans Sale) that I would have Pivetta toe the mound? Ohtani HR withstanding.

Ohtani one-handed a good curveball down and away 370 feet the other way....

That was an absurd home run from Ohtani. One handed swing that looked like a blooper just behind shortstop from an ordinary player instead made it four rows into the monster seats.

Ohtani has the weirdest swing. Like he sort of bails... just sort of a flail. But it obviously works.

That’s crazy power with that type of swing by Ohtani.
edit. So I’m thinking there needs to be some sort of stat that benefits Nick Pivetta on that home run. He threw a very good pitch that fooled Ohtani. It’s just that Ohtani is a freak who can use a crappy swing to still hit a ball hard enough to go two rows deep over the Monsta. I feel like that home run is somehow not an “earned” run.

Cora burned by abandoning his "dump the mediocre starter before hitters see him for the third time" philosophy.

Don we bring Pivetta back out for the 7th at 86 pitches? I say yes.

Sox tv guys were discussing the Pivetta acquisition and noted that it has wound up as Hembree for Seabold and Pivetta.
Made me wonder how Hembree was doing. He signed for Cincinnati and has thrown 7.2 innings of no hit, no run baseball with 8Ks and 2 BBs.
I will still keep the deal.
