Looks like the $500k they got with Robles will go to Perez’s 2022 buyout.

This is a farce. I mean those pitches aren't even batting practice speed.

I could pitch just like Arauz. Who did he tell that he could do this? I'm sitting here not knowing whether to LMAO or cry.

So in order to split the Sox need to win both games tomorrow. Lets face it Richards is going to get his face ripped off Sunday by this offense.

Anyone got anything? Our "ace" implodes, our two new pitchers were not effective, we were 1-5 RISP (including two awful JD at bats with men on), we left 9 on base. It's one bad game - but it's a really bad game. Coming after last night, when Cora was really hot.... ??

Marwin Gonzalez, Garrett Richards, Martin Perez, Matt Andriese and Danny Santana have zero chance of being on this team next year. I wish I could list a few others too, but these are the guys on one-year deals. The replacements in those roster spots are likely to be upgrades.
That's all I got.

This is a farce. I mean those pitches aren't even batting practice speed. Ya but.....he only allowed one run. He should have pitched the fifth. Not advocating, but wondering what we could get for Sale in the offseason....This staff is beyond woeful....can't compete.

Sale and Houck replace Perez and Richards Perez and Richards replace the new pen guys. Schwarber replaces Dalbec Arroyo replaces Santana. Duran replaces Arauz.
Problems solved just in time for the stretch run.
Anyone have a wrist replacement ?? (Although Enrique is doing a great job taking up that slack)

What a mess the past 10 games have caused. At the rate they're going the Yankees and Jay's might be ahead of the Sox by next weekend. The starting pitching is a disaster right now. Robles and Davis aren't any good either.

Remember that time when in the middle of a pennant race we traded for Robles LMAO. If we have a successful year, it will be pointed out that we stayed under the cap, didn't trade our future and still won.

The scout(s) who recommended Robles should be fired. What did they see to think that he could pitch effectively in the majors? It is like batting practice every time he pitches.

At one point last night the Sox were winning and NY, TB were losing and I was going to come on here and say something positive. Well that didn't quite workout did it.
I wouldn't be surprised if this team made a run and won the division and I wouldn't be surprised if they continued to struggle and didn't even get a WC spot. They have out played expectations thru about 98 games so they have made it more fun than we expected and they still could turn this around so keep some faith the cavalry is coming. Might not be a very big cavalry but hey they are coming just the same.
They got the best player in the draft who is undoubtedly the best draft pick in a long long time. Nick Yorks and Jordan are off to blazing starts making last years draft look great. Some 19 yr old kid named Wilkelmen down in the FCL has impressed scouts so much they have compared him to a top 20 draft pick. Casas has been ripping the leather off the ball in the Olympics. They stole a great pitcher or 2 from the MFY's and the sky has yet to fall. Those will be my thoughts on the day, have a good one.

If they do not spend in the off season and ppl use going over the cap as a reason why I don't expect much out of the bloom era. He has a great eye for talent but if he is unwilling to spend for high end talent then we are doomed.

Anyone have any numbers on how far under the luxury tax this team will be in the offseason? They need pitching bad. I'm assuming it does depend on if JD opts in or not. Plus you need to think about using those savings to extend Devers and X. I don't want to see Perez or Richards pitch another game with this team.
I don't think the lack of spending for high end talent is on Bloom at all. This is all ownership not wanting to go over the tax. The Sox have to adjust to the future of never going over the tax in order to contend. It can be done and we see it with the Rays but its just going to take a little longer than just going out there and blowing away Max Scherzer with money in the offseason. I just hope that this doesn't become an issue when they have to pony up for Devers and Xander.

But if you're referring to him as the overall best pick in a long time the Sox would definitely take Spencer Torkelson over him. But hes probably the best Sox pick in a long long time.
