One guy that intrigues me is Noah Schultz. Everyone wanted to see what kinda of velocity he’d come out with and he wowed at 97. Then he promptly got mononucleosis. Was climbing boards then….the guy looks to be a Chris sale replica with a difficult fast ball to pick up, high spin slider, and uncommon control from that extreme lh side arm delivery. Vanderbilt commit so…if he makes it to school I could see him turning into a monster particularly with the uptick in velocity. Pretty risky for the people picking in the top 20…who knows right.

Hear you but BA mock today still has him going at 4. Justin Crawford to us at 24.

If he is anything like his dad, that's a hard pass for me. The Crawford signing is one of the worst free agent contracts in Red Sox history.

I mean, the stretch between when Carl was drafted to when he left his drafting team as a free agent would've made him the best #24 pick in baseball history. There was a reason he cost so much.

Red Sox will have three picks on day 1 of the draft (I think this also probably confirms that the Sox have pick 79, and not 77).

Damn if the Orioles don’t make a killing in this draft everyone should be fired.

He's far from the finished article in terms of his secondaries and being consistent, but I do wonder after he's drafted how many pitches total he throws in the minor leagues. Only so many bullets in that arm and every 105mph heater he's throwing in the minors is one he's not in the majors. Fascinating pitcher.

Joyce has already had TJS, but yeah hard to imagine that there won't be further physical issues at some point. That said, this is a true 80 grade fastball not literally solely for the eyepopping numbers on the gun. Angle of approach wise, that's coming in super flat and has great arm side run. Imagine seeing that up as a righty. Insanity.

This guy is but the latest 100+ mph 'pitcher'...Wish we could get him..😊

Think this would be a wild pick. Just a wacky setup…but that’s the only negative thing I heard.

Kinda unfair to Coastal which plays a great schedule all things considered. And kinda unfair to Sweeney's swing which had a small hitch but was nowhere like this. Brown played on the Cape too. Hit well and apparently showed some really nice defensive chops.

Non picturesque swing, smaller..ish school…also I believe someone that the data darlings will push up closer to draft time when looking at batted ball/exit velocity/swing decision stuff. Sweeney was picked 20th in the end. The highest I see Brown is 25 (I think) on fangraphs. Everyone else so far 50ish or further back. Just another guy who I’m guessing will start too push himself in our range at 24…or maybe our second pick:) we’ll see
