Feels a lot to me like a few mock drafts manifesting "the Red Sox seem to be in on Pete Crow-Armstrong" followed by them passing on him when he was there. regrettably? .354 .443 .557 1.000 edit: slot savings for Blaze, etc.

I think the college OF class is quite similar, with some good depth too it. I think in recent weeks, I've really come to the conclusion that I'd like to see Prielipp or Lesko in the 1st round. The reward seems to outweigh the risk IMO, and it just seems to match up with this draft class and their bonus pool.
In the area of their next two picks, there are some projected college bats that I really think are similar or better than some of the names being mentioned (Beck, Gilbert, Thompson, Fabian, Beavers). I really like Louisville's Dalton Rushing and his swing, chance to stay behind the plate, but his defensive profile is the only thing keeping him out of the 1st round. I really like Vandy's Spencer Jones in that area too. Dallas Baptist's Jace Grady a little later on is a 3rd flag plant for me.

I really like Ryan Cermak from Illinois State. Speed, some power that he is tapping into with potential for more and has improved his weaknesses dramatically this year. His K rate is down to 19%, hit 18 home runs, 8 steals, strong arm (has hit 95 on the mound), .1137 OPS. MLB has his speed as a 65, 60 arm and field. baseballprospectjournal.com/ryan-cermak-features-well-balanced-toolset/

The college hitter I like and to me is flying under the radar a bit is Cayden Wallace from Arkansas. Having seen a couple games of his in person, would not be a huge fan unless it'd be for an underslot deal. I'm willing to write off the so-so offensive weekend, but he didn't look like a third baseman to me at all. And if he's just a corner outfielder, I think there are better corner outfield bats that will be at that spot. Definitely not a bad player, just not one I can see as being worth bypassing similar, often better options for.

I haven't seen very much of him at all and so I'm not claiming anything close to a prediction based on this and it is only one play... But he did make one of the more spectacular bare handed plays I've seen at the college level against Oklahoma State the other day.

Chris Villaman is a guy out of NC State I like. Used as a reliever this year but has experience starting and has the profile to be developed that way. Because he’s been in the pen, he’s got less miles on the arm. Only 127 in his career (55 this year). 170 Ks in those innings including 85 this year while cutting down on walks and homers. Mid 90s fastball and he relies on that primarily. Offspeed does need work. Probably a mid round guy but has pedigree from high school and was on the national team last year. Bonus wise, he has another year of leverage so probably have to go a bit over slot depending on where he goes of course. He’s in this prospects live article from the ACC tourney: www.prospectslive.com/prospects-live/tag/Chris+Villaman

Callis on his podcast does a Rocker segment and says, "the most concrete thing I've heard --and it's still a mystery-- is that it's both shoulder and elbow." But he said he basically looked like prime Rocker in his first start.

www.baseballamerica.com/rankings/2022-mlb-draft-top-prospects/I know it’s the bright shiny new toy in front of me but now I want the Sox to draft Robby Snelling. LH HS pitcher, big riser. 55 fast ball, 60 curve, 60 control, ……kinda a Groome clone in a way (kinda people). This guy is a much better athlete than Groome…so less of the….he’s gonna have to watch his fitness stuff (which turned true for Groome).

It would be a cool story for whomever gets him if he succeeds, but as I recall, the track record on LH pitchers drafted out of high school becoming MLB starters is spotty at best.

If we’re picking high yes avoid HS pitchers but in the back of the 1st round or later you can take more gambles.

He seems similar to benintendi….albeit with a lot more attitude…and a rifle for an arm…. Good eye, good hit tool, doubles power that occasionally morphs into homer power. Runs well….I wouldn’t be completely disappointed.

Saw the kid on two occasions, most recently in May. Says man amongst boys. Everyone swinging late or just looking and walking back to dugout disgusted.

DeLauter please!
Also, if the Sox draft a college bat first I don't really care who it is. It'll be a good pickup. College bats are solid through 3 rounds so if they draft 4 straight college bats it'll be like 4 first rounders. Ok, not really but I'd be ok with it.

Most drafts have Max Wagner falling out of the 1st round now. I’d really like him with our second pick. The numbers are just insane even if the scouting report doesn’t quite match.

Tennessee has hit roughly 11 homeruns in the 5 minutes since I've posted it, so maybe it's a combo of ND sucking, and the ball flying

The hit tool hasn't looked incredible as of late for Beck, but he's got really impressive raw power. Absolutely lost one in today's game vs ND. edit: oops looks like twitter videos weren't appearing for me and I got confused...

Also take these with a grain of salt because of the rando account, but:
