He's just so poised with two strikes. He literally looks like a 10 year veteran with thousands of plate appearances under his belt.

Haha ... getting a kick out of the ESPN announcers talking about how everyone's thinking that Jeter would've had JBJ's single. Have they seen Jeter play short recently?

And Iglesias hits a ball hard. Good to see.

: If Jose Iglesias is facing an 0-2 count and proceeds to hit a 2B, you know you're doing something wrong.

Will Middlebrooks has not looked good early on, he really struggled in Spring Training too. He is the one player I have felt uneasy about entering the season. He had a .923 OPS in Spring Training. I wouldn't call that struggling.

At the very least, they really should have moved Jeter to left field two years ago. Its not like its unprecedented to move star players off the middle infield. Ripken moved to third, Biggio moved to center.

I think that says more about the pitching they are facing than the quality of their own lineup.

So far WMB looking rough in his ABs tonight. Don't worry. I've been repeatedly assured that his history of terrible K/BB numbers is totally meaningless.

I get that this is a very bad MFY team, but I still find funny how some people were UPSET when we gave away Mike freakin' Aviles for John Farrell. While the Sox are not a very talented team, they all look poised and light years more enganged than anything I saw in the past 2 years.

Now I get the Yankees pen has sucked but we aren't exactly facing the Astros They were very good last year, but neither had great stuff in their respective starts. Additionally, most of the damage was done against Eppley. I do think this is a solid lineup.

Man we are coming from a HORRIBLE year its the 1st series of the year I'd rather concentrate of the positive than the negative. There is gonna be plenty of time to talk about the bad line-up.

Another well hit ball for Iglesias. Not so much on the base running.
