Odds that an “F- Laz Diaz” chant breaks out in the postgame?

The worst part is that we burned through Perez tonight!
He needs to get the 1973 Mike Andrews treatment after that performance.

Blame whoever, but the Eovaldi move seems like a big fail now and could impact two games You play to win the game.

30 pitches for Graveman, 22 for Pressly Doesn’t matter. They keep going right through us.

I'd like to see the compiled stats of starters pitching in relief on their bullpen day

It’s funny how Joe Buck said that pitch was almost a strike. And they have just really not talked about it. It’s pretty clear to me it’s because it’s an embarrassment to the best sport in the world. This is an embarrassment to the MLB and they don’t want this discussed too loudly on air. I am livid. This is disgraceful. And the team is rattled by it. Playing very unfocused, like they are ghosts rn. You can tell. They are totally rattled by those calls. Idk if I can even blame them. This game just became a total nightmare on them in like 2 minutes time. Well, we beat them 12-3 yesterday and it only counted for one win and this one is only going to count for one loss. AC will have them ready to go tomorrow and the boys will rally around Nate. This team has not made it easy on us all for the last few months and they're not going to start now.
LFG!
I think all I can respond to this is yes, LFG!!! Flush it and move on.

On the bright side, Ottavino looks really good.

I don't know about you guys, but I am not exactly shaking in my boots at the thought of facing Spider Tackless Framber Valdez and a completely gassed bullpen

I’m a little nervous about the fact that the vast majority of their runs scored this series have been on home runs.

Before we flip out on Cora for the chips in the middle of the poker table move with Evo, let’s remember…he actually did his job. He struck him out twice that at bat. So. This one was a tough break. Gotta refocus and come back guns blazing.
As Underwater said, you play to win the game. Nate will be fine on Friday. Guy is built to compete in October.

I'll say this - you had to take Eovaldi out there. He was throwing stress pitches that entire 9th and was closing in on 30 pitches, you couldn't risk completely wasting him for game 6. Honestly, after last night I kind of expected something like this to happen...Feel a big win tomorrow and go back to Houston up 3-2

We could win this thing if Cora just knew beforehand when a pitcher was going to give up runs, and then he could choose to put in a different pitcher instead.

We barely did anything against the Rays relievers too (just beat up on starters like McClanahan, Patino, Wacha). This needs to change if we’re going to make it

Feel Laz Diaz zone greatly impacted our hitters given how large it was to the outer half - part of the lack of offense tonight.

I don’t think Cora would have done that if he wasn’t very confident that he’ll be just fine for Friday. But that’s just my opinion.

And do you think HOU has any concerns about facing Sale, Houck and whatever else we throw at them?

Against true relievers, we’ve scored 14 runs in 45 innings with 11 of those runs in Game 2 of the ALDS and Game 3 of the ALCS. That’s not good at all. That’s 34.2 innings and 3 runs in all the other games!
Basically we need to blow out these starters and somehow hold on to the lead with our suspect bullpen otherwise we’re screwed. Something needs to give here

I don't know about you guys, but I am not exactly shaking in my boots at the thought of facing Spider Tackless Framber Valdez and a completely gassed bullpen No, but on the flipside how confident are you that Sale will be effective or that Houck will be effective after not being sharp his last 2 times out? Or that the Sox bullpen is capable of holding a late lead in a close game? I'd say tomorrow's game is kind of a toss up. The Astros still have their lefties, Maton, Graveman, Y Garcia, and Pressley available tomorrow. How gassed will some of them be? I don't know. His gassed is Whitlock going to be? Can Robles or Brasier protect a lead on a close game? The Sox need to resume raking and Sale has to be his best 2021 self. And they have to build a huge lead.

Just for the record, I have no beefs with how Cora managed the game, not even the Perez move.

I do believe no matter what, we will have the starting pitching advantage for every game, but we really have a bullpen disadvantage. This offense will need to carry us because we are definitely a few arms short in the pen
