I am on board with this team being very good this season. They got off to a good start last night and I will go on record that they will have over a 100 point season.

Good start to the season, thought the new look 3rd line was good. Forbort good. Swayman good.
They don’t seem to be all that different from lash season- I believe they’ll need to upgrade the D at the deadline but they should be a solid playoff team. Probably not a top contender though

Swayman ROY MacAvoy Norris winner Pastrnak 50 goals First line one of the best in the league again. Second line one of the better in the league. Third line one of the best in the league. Fourth competes hard.
They will contend for a Cup if they can stay healthy.

Idk about the 2nd line or the Top 4 being cup-worthy. We shall see though. They should definitely be a good team. They always have the chance to add at the deadline if need be

Idk about the 2nd line or the Top 4 being cup-worthy. We shall see though. They should definitely be a good team. They always have the chance to add at the deadline if need be One of the reasons I am confident in the 2nd line is what Taylor Hall has learned from playing with Marchand and the fact that he is a dynamic player still who just needed a kick in the ass. I could be wrong but he is one of the best 2nd line players in the league as far as I am concerned and his speed will open things up for Coyle and Smith. And those guys on the third line have been top 6 forwards on other teams, we will see what they have left in the tank. Yes the top 4 on D could be less than stellar but when you have a top 5 guy like MacAvoy playing 25 minutes a game it can cover up a lot. I think Forsberg will be a very good compliment to him also. I am always optimistic though and will always be, it makes it more fun going in. I deal with the downside quite well after 50 years of following Boston sports. The past 20 have been quite a ride. Sadly the B's window is closing so I am overly hopeful for this year.

Season is going the way I expected whereby the perfection line continues to carry the mail on the scoring front. Nosek and Haula look like nice complementary pieces Cassidy has quickly recognized he can utilize in multiple roles. Goaltending seems fine but is only going to be as good as the d-men perform in front of them. I like the acquisition of Forbort, his size and experience are pluses but is still a second pairing left shot defenseman. If I had one wish for this organization it would be to trade (easier said than done) for a top pairing left shot D-man, with out it I don't think this team goes beyond the second round in the play-offs.

Team looks pretty good. Coverage can get a little messy sometimes with the D but Coyle is playing like a top 6 guy which is huge. I like Ullmark, he’s pretty calm back there
This years bottom 6 is light years ahead of last years bottom 6, even with foligno out

Do we have cap space for Tuukka to return if/when he gets back to health?
This is what he said in August:
Hope he comes back as good as ever; that'll go a long way to raise the team's ceiling.

Bruins have tremendous leadership and character, proud of how they responded to the Beach situation. Toews should take notes from Bergeron

But who could have guessed that one of the best rats of all time has become that guy too. I mean he was licking guys faces 5 years ago.

Connor Andrew McDavid lacing them up tonight at the garden, a must watch game, hoping for a good game from the Bruins.

Forbort hasn’t been that bad, the Bruins stats account doesn’t include context when they put out things like this
Without mentioning he averages over 3 min of SHTOI (3:18 out of an average of 5:24 for the team) a game and gets 75% D zone starts, the fewest on the team. He gets some of the hardest minutes in the entire league. Obviously he’s going to be on the ice for some goals scored. He currently has the 3rd best goal differential out of defenseman on the team.
I’m not saying he is a great player but some of the the narrative around him is completely unfair and I thought that was a really crappy tweet by that account to put it out there without supplying what is certainly necessary context. In fairness his bio itself states he cherry-picks stats, but to me this irresponsible when you have a base that’ll blindly trust whatever is tweeted and you’re forming a narrative for them
What I’m saying is you are definitely going to see him out there against McDavid.
Also not for nothing but Forbort was averaging 25 min a game in the playoffs on the team that swept McDavid last year

I don't think he's tragic but he's much better suited to play against bottom 6 guys rather than top 6 and McDavid will show that tonight since he is like toppiest top 6 guy ever right now.

This D is a dumpster fire. One of the worst periods of hockey I’ve seen a D-group play

The D needs improvement, yes. But DeBrusk getting abused on that goal by Codi Freakin Ceci was just awful.

Good bounce back win today. Habs coming to the Garden Sunday night should be high emotion with almost two years since their last game against each other.

Nice to see Haula get on the board (from Kuhlman and Blidh). They need more supplementary scoring. Hopefully Haula and Smith get going
McAvoy is the best defenseman in hockey
