This game will fly under the radar but it was a tremendous win.Toronto was starting to creep back into this game in the 4th, and the Celts made three plays in a row that basically ended it.
It’s the NBA, and that won’t always be the case, but they need to start finding ways to make things easier on themselves. Tonight was a great example of that.

Plus it’s the sixers who cares if you alienate them? From the sounds of it, it's the 76ers GM that should watch out.

They've continued to play good defense. Schoder looks better and better. The sad part is that Schroder is likely a goner after this season. It's fun to watch him tho because he is so quick. I love the recent team defensive intensity...tenacious. Celtics have clearly increased their athleticism. Timelord! What's with Simmons' mental health issues and how have they impacted his play before this year?....Do we want to risk trading for someone with that tag?

Good point - everyone watching expected Toronto to tie the game at some point the way the Celtics suck at protecting leads.

It’s highly likely he’s gone, but his agent screwed up big time, letting his bird rights evaporate. That’s a huge deal. He’s highly unlikely to be signed using someone’s cap space… he’s just not that type of player… so now you’re fighting for mid level money… tax paying versus non tax paying.

Interesting how playing great D with tenacity leads to good things. It isn't easy to maintain but the C;s are deep with guys capable of maintaining the intensity so as I have said it should be their calling card.

If you feel that why do you think he's likely gone? You can offer him a one year $7 million deal or 4 years $30.5 million deal. If he takes the one year deal, you could then offer one year $12.4 million or four years $53.3 million the next year. Those are rather tempting offers if he's just deciding besides which mid-level no?

Okay thanks for clearly that up, I got the exact opposite from "likely a goner" to "highly likely he's gone" My worry is a team like the Knicks realizing their massive mistake signing Kemba Walker and finally going after the guy they should have in the first place, using cap space. I would be so upset if he left for any type of mid-level money. He's worth full mid-level as a backup PG in my book. We finally have a two way PG that has quickness.

So kind of brutal schedule again, we start yet another B2B against the Bucks and then tomorrow is @ Cleveland for the 3rd game in 4 nights. The bright side is I think we turned the corner just a little bit in that I can see them winning both games with the level of defense they're playing.

Middleton Lopez DiVincenzo Are all out tonight… Brown is too, but there’s no reason the Celtics shouldn’t win tonight.

Not surprised to see them coast on defense with Giannis out.

This is a weird game - lots of things to like but it’s impossible to because they aren’t playing well defensively.

Smart is BALLING OUT this quarter, but it feels so weird this game is taking so much effort.

This team has been losing the hustle plays and 50-50 balls all game. Every time I watch, I’m disappointed.

wow. playing down to the level of the opponent. Horford took three long shots in a row that were bad misses earlier in the game- they could have opened a big lead. Tatum took way too much time to get into that play. OT....yuck.

Tatum for the win at the buzzer has to be about 5%

Just a clown performance by a group of players that doesn’t seem to get it.
They were two possessions away from putting the game out of reach, and they just stopped playing. So pathetic, even if they win this one.

Time for Horford to just stop shooting long balls

Tatum’s shot selection is just baffling. There is no accountability on this team. It starts with Ime.
