He's a second year player that was give 5 games of regular playing time. Heck take out the first game and he was shooting 35.7% from deep his next four. I really do think Ime is his biggest issue. Give him some regular playing time and let him create. Meh I agree with Don, he looks terrible out there and gets cooked regularly on defense. Honestly I think they should send him and Nesmith to Maine for regular reps once Jaylen is 100%. Bring up Hauser and Thomas for bench mins here and there. Almost the whole team looks worse than last year and is less efficient. At what point do people finally get what the problem is? Pritchard at PG is actually a fine one on one defender, yet he'll never be a great team defender given his size and athletic ability. Brad Stevens spent last year playing him mostly at SG, which he is fairly bad at, why? He needed his shooting and that was with Kemba Walker. You need to balance offense and defense. This feels like the Rozier vs Irving debate and the debate that followed the next year when Roziers minutes were limited and he was put in the wrong role. Everyone thought I was crazy saying make Rozier the PG and get the ball out of Irvings hands. I'm sorry yet this is all Ime and his offense. If you don't believe that, you just believe what almost the whole team got worse?

Kemba is out of the Knicks rotation as of now. Horford's bloated contract and #16 was a steal to get out of that depreciating asset. Now let's see if Brad can finally find appreciating assets, unlike Danny's ending tenure.

Trading that 16th pick was a very high price for me. I think you look back and are like damn there was a ton of talent there. Jalen Johnson at PF and Cam Thomas at SG, along with many more like Christopher, Grimes and my guy in Kessler Edwards.
If we are just a middling team, was it really worth it? Next year Kemba Walker was an expiring contract and you're faced with what to do with Horford.

I think that it would be worth putting Cape League games on TV, although I'm not sure that there would be a huge audience for them. Couponplay

That’s it, I am starting it. It’s opening day! Most of us probably won’t see a ton of the game because of the Red Sox but I’ll try to watch as much as possible. nice

If you're not good, at minimum winning a playoff series he's also taking time away from those guys. Don't get me wrong, I love Horford and that was a sensible swap. Giving up the 16th pick in a deep draft was just a high cost. I feel he should have got back another second or traded a future pick. Yet I also never imagined Ime would use his bigs the way he has either.

Dude is a fundamentally SOUND player, he's very stout on defense, rarely finding himself out of position, and he can dance in the post. And he's a nice guy, I doubt he isn't willing to help the young bigs. And you need that, Grant and Robert are still relatively raw. Grant's too timid, RWIII overplays at times. There's a lot of focus on Brown and Tatum and rightfully so, but The General and Timelord could legit be a plus starting backcourt.

Didn't you always call him soft and not good on D? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

I may have called him soft when I was pissed off lol but I definitely never called him a bad defender unless I was absolutely out of my mind. He's a great defender. I think he's a small baller, he's too passive and that makes him a good supporting piece, but an underwhelming one. His skillset should translate into a better player, he just lacks that psychopath mentality. It doesn't make him a bad player at all and he's definitely a guy I love to see guiding the younger bigs because his game is pristine.

How does Ime not call a timeout when that offensive play was clearly broken? He’s left so many timeouts on the table at the end of games, it’s becoming a joke.

It's rather clear by now that Ime isn't some boy wonder coach like Stevens. As that article said he's a good communicator that seems to be learning on the job. Yet communication skills aren't great if your systems aren't good. Every game it becomes much more clear, that Stevens has to make moves to help save Ime from himself. Stevens built a roster that he would want, yet Ime isn't Stevens. He's like a more extreme version of Tom Thibodeau and I never thought I would say that.

FREEDOM IS FCKING IN BOYS! I hate it, reminds me of Ron Artest. I really like Kanter and love how he calls out the truth. Yet no reason to change your name. I looked at the box score and I'm like who the heck is this and then it clicked. At the same time he might have just shortened his career, he's messing around with a lot of people's money.

I dislike LeBron, like a lot, but he was 100% right when he responded to Enes calling him out and said something along the lines of “a real man will talk to your face and he put his head down and just walked by me so I have nothing to say about him”….

Well if they walked by each other then Freedom had the opportunity to try and say something and didn’t. Freedom said he was signing this kid an autograph and Lebron was in a rush. I see no reason to question Freedom, it's constitutional!

This isn’t a personal beef or something like that. Speaking to him face to face does what exactly? Calling out the king and most powerful player who looks the other way for money is powerful and 100% the truth. I also highly doubt Kanter isn't man enough to call out anyone face to face, that response by LeBron was just deflection which he always does.

We can say what we want about Freedom, but dude has balls of steel. If the CCP spies and Erdogan ninjas don't intimidate him, I doubt Lebron is going to do it. That being said, he was really bad in the last game. Maybe he was too amped up, so I'll give him a pass. He has earned the playing time and I wish he continues to show why. I don't know why Ime insists on using a 9 man rotation, this team has enough dudes to play 10 men. And they need it because Freedom provides a scoring outlet while Langford is (nowadays) a good shooter and you badly need both of those.

Not easy finding trade targets that you might actually be able to get that fit Imes 100% D approach. Yet #1 is likely Will Barton, #2 would be Harrison Barnes. Neither is perfect and frankly neither solve our biggest issues. Yet they will certainly make you better.
As to our biggest issue, future PG that fits with Tatum and Brown. I'm trying to get RJ Hampton. It's a long-term move, yet he's buried behind Anthony and Suggs, with Fultz return coming at some point. Give Ime a young guy to mold that sure seems to fit his style.

What if we try and get TERRY back? The Hornets need some defense, what about Richardson + Nesmith and something else for Terry? Is that even reasonable?
