This is the first real season I am pumped to watch nba. I am pleasantly surprised about our G.M. I wish Danny could of ran this team in tandem because Ainge has a good eye for drafting. It’s hard to get good players where the Celtics draft. Timelord was suppose to be a lottery pick , I remember that draft Danny didn’t hesitate to take him around 25, 25 or 27. The only one I didn’t want was Marcus Smart , we never get good lottery slots. I didn’t know about Jaylen Brown. I loved how he played the Marcus Fultz pick masterstroke. Don’t forget the 76ERS had like 4 straight top picks. Basketball is so friggin hard to succeed. We have no idea if Brad has an eye for drafting or not; he hasn’t done any yet.

Tatum saying he had a broken wrist in the playoffs I assumed it was his shoulder holding him back. Not surprised to see he had issues.

I just watched his interview. He saying small fracture that healed, yet was still painful when hit. Calls it playing with a somewhat fracture for two months. Talks about Giannis and dunk that made it hurt the most since he did it. I don't know if there's more video than I watched, it seemed like just a piece of it.

Yeah basically what I gathered is that he hurt the wrist in February against the Hawks and then reaggravated it a bit against Milwaukee. It makes some sense, it seemed like he was actively avoiding contact whenever he possibly could after that Giannis play

Yes you are right so I have nothing to go by . So that’s a question mark at least with Ainge I have a track record. That year we got Smart if we won the draft he was drafting Durant not Odom.

It was Green who was traded for Allen, which brought home a championship and why KG changed his mind about coming here. Funny how things workout.

Ok, but that year if he won he would of drafted Durant. We were hoping we would of won that. Wow how time flies by.

Celtics gave Denzel Valentine an exhibit 10 deal, he’ll compete for a spot in camp

Non-Cs but Lakers are trading for Pat Beverley. Moving THT and Stanley Johnson to Utah.
There have been rumors for a while about a Westbrook for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield move (not sure why Indiana would do that) for some time now. Otherwise, Beverley and Westbrook on the same team could be high-end drama.

I would imagine the pacers would get a bunch of picks going their way too Also non-C’s news: Chet Holmgren has a lisfranc injury and is done for the year before it even started Those injuries seem to be happening more frequently and they seem to be pretty devastating

The first they could offer outright is 2026 since they owe their 2024 to New Orleans.
As for swaps, I'm not sure if they could loop Indy in to the 2023 swap potential with NO or if they have to wait until 25.for the swaps to begin.
Then, they can go out 7 years worth of picks (swapped or traded).

Lakers need to go all in on LeBrons end of career run and Pacers need to rebuild. Those picks might be years away, yet they should be darn good by then.

John Hollinger (Athletic) is not hopeful of the Lakers chances:
"Now, alas, the Lakers are looking at a field of available players who are much less scintillating than Irving. Does a combination of Buddy Hield and Myles Turner move the needle enough to justify the price of two unprotected firsts? (Narrator voice: No.) Is there some way to split the baby so that the Lakers only surrender one of those picks? Not likely with the paucity of assets on the rest of the roster."
He also says the unprotected firsts are 2027 & 29.

Beverley/Hield/Lebron/Davis/Turner would be interesting. Still probably not enough to win because that bench would be brutalized constantly

Still probably not enough to win because that bench would be brutalized constantly If that 5 is healthy in the playoffs and LeBron and Davis are as good as we are supposed to believe then that team should be a contender. There are actually a lot of decent enough FA that they should be able to fill a bench that could work. They need to try.

Why the flying f*ck would the Pacers do that deal? This is why I hate the Lakers, they pull insane deals out of their absolute ass.

I miss the days when we worried about how GWill and Gallo would fit together.

Initial report is that ACL is stable. MRI tomorrow. It’s going to be a collateral ligament. I’d be shocked if it wasn’t something torn

That was probably the best case scenario tbh. Hopefully the tear isn’t too large. He should be back this season if it’s not a catastrophic tear
