Warriors regular season 3 point shooting, anything can happen in small sample sizes during a short series with 3 point shooting, so I'm using regular season.
Curry 38.0% Thompson 38.5% Wiggins 39.3% Poole 36.4% Porter 37% Payton 35.8% Green 28.9%
Regular season Green and Looney averaged 50 minutes a game combined. Playoffs Looney was still just a 20 minute a night guy. So they aren't playing tons of guys that are bad shooters, it's the exact opposite. They were playing about 28 minutes a night with only one bad shooter
Celtics you'd have Robert Williams 0%, Smart 33.1%, and Murray 32.7% all playing 35 plus minutes a night during the playoffs going forward. Robert Williams is better than Looney, so you're not playing him 20 minutes to bring in more shooting. Nevermind while I love Brown and Tatum, they are very good shooters, Curry/Thompson is maybe the best shooting combo ever. They are different players, you don't want either playing like Curry or Thompson. You want them attacking the basket, which requires floor spacing.

Durant has asked for a trade.
EDIT - and the feeling is that FA could be on hold while everyone figures out where he's going.

From the Nets’ perspective I would probably want Jaylen Brown more than anyone those teams could offer, but it’s hard to see Brad going for a future mortgaging type trade. Edit - Philly offering Harris, Maxey, Thybulle and picks.

Lol, the Harden, Kyrie, Durant experiment that couldn't fail turned out really well.

Haven't heard about them yet but feels like Memphis could put together an interesting package.

Woj thinking Kyrie has also played his last game in BRK.

Durant is under contract for four years so the risk is just age and unhappiness, not him leaving in free agency. I’d do something like Brown, Smart and a pick or two (but not the whole bag).

Durant for anything other than Brown, Tatum and Robert Williams I can get behind.
Trading Brown for Durant will look bad in a very short amount of time and could mean Tatum leaves in his Prime because Durant is finished. He's going into age 34 season, Tatum age 24, Brown 26.

It’s the NBA, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t matter.

The thing I really care about with the Kevin Durant stuff is that he gets traded to the Pheonix Suns, not the Miami Heat.

It’s the NBA, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t matter. He should be in prison and Silver needs to ban him. Absolutely repulsive behavior from a guy who has been acting like a tool the entire year. He thinks he’s cool taking videos of him smoking blunts, drinking codeine, etc and meanwhile he’s beating his wife too. What a loser.

I would do Smart and Timelord and all of our picks from now until the end of times, but not Brown. UNLESS you have a feeling he doesn't want to stay past his current deal.

I don’t see how Heat can get him without a Bam/Herro package. Which means you'd have 33 old Butler, 34 old KD and 36 old Lowry. Without Bam I don't see how they'd be a good defensive team and the chances those 3 all stay healthy is not good.
The Suns make sense, Durant will need a younger team around him as he gets older. Yet if you trade let's say Ayton and Bridges plus, you really aren't a good young team anymore.
This crap is crazy, people talking Brown, Smart, Robert Williams and a bunch of picks for 34 year old KD. If I'm trading that I better be getting Giannis back.
This is going on and the Nets are trading a 2023 first for Royce O'Neil. While resigning Mills and Claxton.
Go trade KD and Irving to Lakers for AD and Westbrook. It actually kinda makes sense, AD is bouncing when LeBron is done and LeBron, KD and Irving deserve each other.

I agree with everything you have said. I just won’t be surprised if he still gets a massive deal. I also won’t be surprised if he ends up in jail.

Including Bam in a Durant deal also means Brooklyn has to find a taker for Ben Simmons as well. Both of them are on the Designated Rookie deals and you can't have 2 on the same team. Would add to an already insane offseason for BRK (especially if they are already thinking they need to move Kyrie on top of KD).

Boston in on Thomas Bryant. Liked him pre-injury. If it's for Vet Min, I'd be interested. Using MLE would bother me.

Agreed, there are better targets for the MLE i do think he may be an upgrade on Theis though. Didn’t get to see him much last year but like you said, before the injury he was quite good

Brown gets MLE from Denver. Really thought it'd take more to sign him.

I would do Smart and Timelord and all of our picks from now until the end of times, but not Brown. UNLESS you have a feeling he doesn't want to stay past his current deal. Here’s my point of view: for the next four years, Durant is a clear tier or two better than Brown and meaningfully increases their title odds. He’s coming off an MVP caliber year (albeit injury-shortened) and I’m bullish on Durant’s ability to stay productive into his mid/late 30s (size and elite jump shot gives him a good shot of aging well a la Dirk). After that, you’ve given away more future value, but four years is a long way out and it’s hard to predict anything definitive beyond then anyways. Brown is the single best piece that I think is reasonably availability and fits a retooled Nets timeline. Not sure how excited Durant would be about the idea, though.

I really doubt that Durant would want to come to the team that just swept him in the playoffs. The optics are bad considering his history in okc and golden state, and I think Kevin really cares about.
I do think he’s better than Jaylen. I am nervous of Jaylen not signing a third contract with Boston.
