Thank you ! our boys deserved that one. They were unlucky the whole series and the Jays are a bunch of whiny goofballs.

That was an exciting series, definitely felt like the playoffs. Feel like the Sox acquitted themselves nicely with their shorthanded roster (not counting Houck and Duran issue)

That was almost game 6 of the 86 World Series. Except Plawecki blocked it.

Hanging on by a thread. Toronto at home versus the Sox is a matchup favoring Toronto heavily. Winning only one was probably best outcome.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cordero or Verdugo move up the lineup. Shake it up.

That play by Refsnyder on Biggio’s double won’t get talked about but it saved the game. Easily could’ve been a two run double

Strahm is not a 6-out closer

Get out of the Toronto house of horrors and get back to the positive June vibes in Chicago.

Obviously going to be competing with the Jays for BP help. I know they were the pre-season favorites in the AL East, and they've played a bit of a tougher schedule so far. But they had some advantages this series and the series could have gone either way. I expect the Jays to have a better 2nd half than they've shown so far. But I know we can beat them with our full team in a series.

Get out of the Toronto house of horrors and get back to the positive June vibes in Chicago. Actual Friday is July 1. Also, heads up - the game is at 2:20 PM. But I share your sentiment.

In at least one universe out of a quadrillion parallel universes, Cordero is the next Papi and Bello is the next Pedro.

Strahm is not a 6-out closer 41 pitches. Deserves a lot of credit actually for getting it over the line. Got Springer out twice on the final at bat.

I understand the uproar over Houck, but they are REALLY missing Whitlock and Eovaldi. They’ve somehow excelled without both of them, but they might be the 2 most important pitchers on the staff.

Verdugo had +50.5% WPA in this game. Cordero had +35.9. That's two players of the game.
Would you trade Cordero straight up for Benintendi?

Strahm is not a 6-out closer He’s about to be their fourth best reliever, and that’s before any trades or call ups. Could do a lot worse than that

Guardians did to the Twins almost exactly what the Jays didn't do to us. Twins score 3 in the top of the 10th, Guards score the ghost but have 2 outs with runners on second and third. PB makes it a 1-run game. But Josh Naylor doesn't pop up; he goes yard and the Guards leave their posts.
