I will add my vote that “how dare he help another player up” is a bad take. That's fine...my problem is that its "not just any player" its the player that literally tried to separate your shoulder in the finals and beat you soundly. Sportsmanship is nice...after the game. Just don't get it as a grown man competing during the game. Am I saying smash people or whatever? No, but you also don't have to help up the dude who gave you a beatdown and tried to injure you. Maybe I'm an out of touch poopypants. Whatever.

keep shooting threes? Tatum, Brown, White, Smart combined 3 for 15. Bad shooting leads to bad defense at this point.
Time for the team to come home.

That's enough for me - brutal end to the third quarter.

Not as good as we would like to think we are....Good lessons in humility on this trip. As is often said, it's a marathon, not a sprint.

It is a bit alarming that they go back to their bad habits (too much iso, no ball movement/cutting, pull up threes, complaining about not getting calls and giving up fast breaks, poor focus on defense) when things get tough and the shots aren’t going down.

Yeah it's amazing that they don't play well when they aren't playing well.

Yeah it's amazing that they don't play well when they aren't playing well. That is too trite. It’s one thing when shots don’t go down. It’s another thing to fall into bad habits that make a comeback more unlikely.

Really good ball movement to start the game.

Looks like this will be a game of runs. Much better than the last two games, but I'd rather Smart not fall in love with taking 3s. Already too many.

Happy with a 37 pt first quarter. If they keep the ball movement and floor spreading up, we should be good - this is a defense we can beat. Tatum looks better than the last two games as well.

Smart is turning it over and taking ill-advised shots. Big lead is vanishing - efficiency drops off when Tatum is on the bench.

Celtics lose focus, get sloppy - opening the door for the Lakers. Not sure why the Celtics don't dunk more (esp Brown and Tatum) - they end up missing a lot of layups.

Brutal end of the third quarter - let them back in. Celtics should have put this away but they took their foot off the gas (and discipline). outscored 17-4 in the last five minutes.

Lead all gone - now outscored 27-4 in last 8 minutes
Celtics now a turnover machine. Whatever worked early on they've completely stopped doing. Same issues as their last two losses. 99% chance of winning is now 65% chance of LA winning.
They have some things to fix.

Absolutely disgusting in all respects.
The Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet show was fun while it lasted but its obvious they are not good NBA players.
Shoutout Marcus Smart for reverting to whatever iso nonsense hero ball too.

Totally stunning collapse - Smart is now a real liability because he is shooting poorly, unwisely, taking bad fouls and turning it over way too much. Grant Williams has totally vanished. Wow. They may come back and win this - but what a sorry thing to watch from the mid third quarter onward. Blake Griffin shooting 5 threes (and missing them all badly) is not a wise strategy.

Celtics are being embarrassed - third and fourth quarter (so far) - outscored 55-28.
The word is overused - I've not used it this year yet for this team - but the last three games the Celtics played soft.

you have to be kidding me - insane. Jayson Tatum, folks. Bonus basketball. Craziest game of the year by far.

Jayson Tatum's game is simply a thing of beauty. Jaylen Brown's game is not far behind. Wow.
We are going to win this because of young legs - LeBron and AD have nothing left - but our guys do.
One of those games you had to see to believe - and a true emotional roller coaster.

After the criticism yesterday have to give the massive props to Tatum today for giving it 1000% when a lot of the team didn't have it for long stretches. Miracle comeback lol, wow.

Turned a blowout win into a heartbreaking loss into a win that showed incredible mental toughness What it tells me is that this team is as good as it wants to be. Mazzulla's challenge is going to be to keep them focused to play full games. But with Brown and Tatum, they should be set up to win most games - having Horford - and Rob W - will certainly help.

I take back my comments after reading this:
Jayson Tatum the only man in the league that can be 4-1 in Game 7’s, have 3 conference Finals trips, a Finals appearance, all before 25 and get told he doesn’t have any killer instinct or will to win.

Team getting killed on the boards for two straight games, then Brown gets 15 rebounds. That's the type of crap I want to see more of from him.
