One thing I will say from this game is at least Tatum didn't quit the entire game. Just about the only one.
Tatum also gets arguably the worst whistle in the league. Dude got flagrant fouled and it was a no call LOL

Tatum literally made that and one and they said no shot?  ?? Refs sold this at the end too. Lol not like we deserved to win but cherry on top. |

Can anyone explain why the ref waived off the late 3 by Tatum that would have kept the prayer of a chance alive? Actually, he was fouled and could have pulled the Celts within 1. At worst they would have fouled and even if the Pacers hit both 3's the Celts would have had a final shot to tie it.
Edit: At least the Bucks lost too.

No team in basketball has run hot and cold like the Tatum/Brown led Celtics. There are periods of utter domination mixed with periods of halfhearted buffoonery.
This team has been hard to watch for years now due to their inconsistencies. And nothing has appeared to change.

This 22-10 team ain’t that. They lose some regular season games. Whoopdie doo. They’re a half game back from being the best team in the sport.
“Hard to watch” is the patriots offense or the Red Sox handling of marquee players. Watching the Celtics is like staring at the Mona Lisa in comparison

You can easily make the case he's the 4th best player on that G-league team. Brad isn't making a move to get him minutes in Boston and he doesn't deserve them either. He's right where he needs to be, a full season in G-league is good for him. He's playing with 3 guys that have a good amount of NBA experience and they are helping make him look good. Which is a good thing, it's the most veteran roster I can remember. |

Welcome back wcp3..I have, at least, missed your full on negativity. Celtic players are soft, clowns, quitters etc. Go Sox...Go Pats...or wait... go Bruins. Maybe some Boston team gets it right and is worthy. Actually, I’ve been here posting throughout the season, including when they were winning every game by a thousand. You just choose to ignore those posts. No wc3p... I have given you props when you have, IMO, made positive, incisive comments on the Cs. You are very highly invested. For me it's just that every time we lose, there are seemingly ad hominem attacks of character, effort etc. in an directly disparaging way..e.g. "Clown show, quitters, losers" yada, yada. I guess that's some part of being a fan. Thankfully our employers have not applied the same standards to us. These players didn't get where they are by not having extraordinary talent, dedication and commitment. Still, they are human and have frailties...emotional, physical, psychological. There are ups and downs in every season for every team and every sport. Opponents adjust...early advantages disappear. I suspect that the Celtics of the second half of last season to 10 games ago will reestablish themselves as they, in turn, reassess and adjust. I'm along for the ride...whatever the endpoint. |

If you can't call that or miss that, and the league had integrity they'd be tranparent that the ref missed it and it's been noted he missed and keep a scorecard, drop below a minimum standard and you are demoted to the D league or whatever it is, just like a player. All bad performances need to have consequences or ultimately it will lead without question to no integrity and shenanigans. |

They don’t even really have interesting young talent and Mac Jones is getting to be hard to root for. They’re Up there with the Covid Red Sox. This Celtics team is not in that same universe. |

I feel they hit a little wall but every team does. But they came out of it. I am feeling really good about this team. They always had problems with this team. Seems like there on another level in the east.
