Beastly game. Tatum has been ridiculous. National Xmas game and domination over Giannis is a good one to put on an MVP Resume.

Too many 3 point shoots. They need to work on scoring without taking so many of them.

Nesmith starting to look good for the Pacers. Happy for him.

Definitely a great shooting team but that’s a well that can run dry from time to time, it’s not a bad thing to have other ways to win games. I suspect that the presence of Timelord will lead to a lot more easy buckets in the paint and better defense and we’ll see them win in some other ways

The problem isn't really the amount of shots they get from anywhere, you take what the defense gives you. The thing is the ball movement needs to be consistent so they keep getting open shots, be it from 3 or in the paint. What they should avoid the most is hero ball and stupid possessions.

Man, when this offense is clicking, it’s fun to watch, especially with R. Williams’ lob threat back in the picture. They’ve built a roster with a lot of guys who are good at making the right pass (and guys like Tatum and Brown have developed that skill), and when the ball is ping-ping-pinging around the perimeter and finds an open three or a cutter at the basket, it brings back memories of the old Spurs.

Fascinating - Jaylen has 33 points - but no assists, no rebounds!

It is raining 3s. Rob is a beast on the boards. The Celtics, with him back, are morphing into a different monster. This is fun.

Horford has had some pretty weak stat lines lately...
Free Pritchard et al...get a big man defensive presence and rebounder...

He’s a versatile defender and a ball-mover and floor-stretcher on offense. You will be hard pressed to find another big man who fits the roster as well as he does.

I appreciate those facts, but at 36 his play has, to me, fallen off. He plays roughly 30 minutes per and 'nets' 6+ rebounds and 9 points. I am concerned that we rely too much on the Js and would prefer a bit more balance. Kornet doesn't play much so we seem to depend on team rebounding. Ideally for me a younger, more physically imposing, big body would help. Kavengele might get some play in the second half...could be interesting...

With Brogdon, Smart, White, even R. and G. Williams, I don’t know that there are really shots to go around for a scoring-focused big man acquisition. And you’ll be hard pressed to find a big who is a better defender and rebounder than R. Williams or a better defender than Horford who doesn’t kill you on the offensive end.
They could probably use another wing to give Tatum and Brown a little bit of a break from the minutes load, but that’s all I’d be looking for in terms of a trade.

I agree, but I struggle with a trade idea because I can't think of a guy they could get for like Hauser and Pritchard that would be, you know, actually worth trading them away if that makes sense? That package is light to get a really good wing, but I really like the players and I feel like it's too much value to get a JAG. And they have the option of running 3 guards line-ups, given how good Smart and White are on defense.

Make him one of the best defenders on the roster and we could be set. Well, Don, he is a lithe, athletic leaper at 6'8". He is not a big body who carves out space and he doesn't score inside unless it's on the pick and roll or on a put back. No team has everything, but again, I'd like an interior big man who can rebound and siphon off scoring burden from the Js.

Kanter… he made them worse tho… You need to tell us who this player is or could be? This isn’t the 90s, you don’t slow the game down and post guys up for half a quarter and let them go to work.

Yup Kanter could rebound and score but not play D. There were a number of guys posited earlier on various sites...someone like Jakob Poeltl...I'm no expert on personnel, but Kabengele might help.

Tonight will be an important test against two other elite wings and a team that's clicking.

Nice solid win. One thing about this team they make it close when there’s no need for it.

Bro Timelord playing more than 20 minutes is flat out not fair for the league lol.
