From 16 down to 16 up - no Jaylen - then no White. No problem! We have the MVP (and an amazing Brogdon!)

51 for the league MVP. Boston played with fire but Tatum willed the win.

I don’t buy it - nothing Brad has done has ever leaked or had a rumor attached to it. To me this makes me think there’s no chance that they trade for him unless it’s completely made up by Shams. If this is leaked, it’s the Celtics helping drive up the price on their competitors.

It’s Boston. Of course the tall gangly white guy is going to be a big hit. The short white guy, too. Fast PP is a legit NBA player and anyone who isn't a complete casual can tell you that Kornet really isn't. They're completely different aside from being goofy white dudes. Celebrating Kornet having a good game is rooting for the folk hero, the one who doesn't have a shot being there by complete chance. The working class hero. One of us. How do you watch Kornet and say he’s not a legit NBA player? What’s your definition of legit NBA player? For me it’s simply a guy who can be useful and have a role on a good NBA team and Kornet is that. He’s not a guy you want in the lineup every day and Griffin will take any playoff minutes from him; but he’s very useful to get a team thru a long NBA season with his ability and cheap contract. He is what he is and as long as the money keeps fitting that he’s a good piece to a roster.

Agreed, I think Kornet is a legitimate NBA player (unlike, say, Tacko Fall or Scalabrine towards the end of his career). He's versatile offensively (decent lob catcher, sets good screens, can (theoretically) stretch the floor) and is good enough defensively to survive against second units (his size/length and the Kornet Kontest help offset his lack of foot speed). I think he's honestly better than Griffin at this point. You can't really do much better than that for your minimum salaried third-string center.

I think they are handling Griffin perfectly, and I think he’s accepting his role very well. He can’t last - his body won’t allow it, but he’s been very effective stepping in after not playing in a long time being fresh and even showing some explosiveness that we haven’t seen from him in a couple years. I agree Kornet is better in that he’s more playable over periods of time, but I think Griffin will be more valuable in the playoffs, assuming Rob and Al are healthy. Blake Will come in as an energy guy and make things happen Kornet doesn’t do that. After, writing this out they are really hard to compare and aren’t really interchangeable the more I think about it.

He's an easy guy to root for because he doesn't LOOK like an NBA player. He found his role and he's good at it. When I said he's not an NBA player, I meant he isn't a big freaking monster like just about everyone is or he isn't crazy gifted and anything. He's tall. And he makes it work. Like I said, he's a folk hero. The game who makes it there out of spite and anger. Which, in contrast to the implication that he's popular because he's white, was also the reason the city still LOVES IT. He also didn't belong. But he got there. And he became a superstar. Guys like that are awesome.

White Mamba had a sweet outside stroke, Kornet develops that and the Knicks might max him out.

This team plays the dumbest basketball ever against Golden State.
Grow up.

Turning back into a pumpkin.
They just have to tip their cap and call Golden State their daddy.

Down only one point despite 4 for 17 (23.5%) three point shooting isn't awful. Some bad turnovers sprinkled in, though, and Brown looks rusty out there.

Disappointed that Jaylen and Jayson regress a bit against this team. Carelessness, especially.
Got to get their **** together in the second half

White Mamba had a sweet outside stroke, Kornet develops that and the Knicks might max him out. Funnily enough, Kornet came into the league primarily as a stretch five. In 2018-19, he shot 193 three-pointers (4.2 a game; 68% of his shot attempts) at a 36.3% clip. The team he played for? The New York Knicks.

Poor play from the Js on offense leading to leaky D. And fouling on 3s? Come on...
Smart came to play.
Becoming grotesque. And embarrassing.
Brown, Grant and White no shows midway through 3Q.

There’s nothing surprising about this, unfortunately. They can’t help but puke all over themselves against the Warriors.

So many missed layups. Missed FTs. Just brutal shooting.

Worst game I've seen Jaylen play maybe ever. Tatum traveled a few times. How are they only 5 down?

Tatum looks exhausted. Just too many minutes for a random January game.
