They survived Tatum's 7 ugly turnovers, somehow. Either a win, or OT.

They have a good shot of winning comfortably in regulation but for the three bad Tatum turnovers.
Horford is still arguably their best two-way big man. His floor stretching, passing and switchability on defense are so important.

The game was a nerve-wracking roller coaster, Celts kept being their own worst enemy. But....it was such fun to watch. Maybe they evicted GS from their heads tonight.

Refs tried twice to give that to GS. Awful.

Overall the turnovers are not a problem at all for both the Jay's compare them to other scorers in the same tier and if anything they are on the lower end of the scale for turnovers. Sure there are games here and there when that happens but we only notice becuase it's our team and we watch alot of the games. Bottom line is it's not a problem. If you think I'm wrong look it up. Why did the ref's not review the last play clearly and easily could be verified it went off a Warriors hand. Didn't matter but that's not the point. The process is flawed.

Refs tried twice to give that to GS. Awful. Aside from getting all the close calls wrong, all the obvious calls wrong, and both replays wrong, the refs were good.

My god. The Celtics continue to be the only team that can beat the Celtics. If they don’t turn the ball over, there is no team in the league that is beating a healthy Boston in 7.
I cannot believe Smart nearly gifted Golden State 6 points. You’re the point guard. Dribble the basketball.
Horford is immense. So solid in every facet.
If Tatum and Brown start moving like Curry and Thompson without the ball, the dynasty begins.

When the Celtics turned the ball over less than 15 times in the playoffs last year, they were nearly undefeated. The way they turn the ball over is a problem. It’s not like they throw the ball into the third row trying to initiate offense ala 2012-2023 Golden State. When the Celtics turn the ball over, it’s usually pick sixes and isolation swipes going the other way.

What an insane game.
Sure Tatum wasn't perfect but you don't sniff a win in that game if he doesn't give you 48 hustle minutes. Huge.

Funnily enough, Kornet came into the league primarily as a stretch five. In 2018-19, he shot 193 three-pointers (4.2 a game; 68% of his shot attempts) at a 36.3% clip. The team he played for? The New York Knicks. Wow what a coincidence. And what a turnaround for Kornet. I'm checking numbers here and it seems he didn't have an inside game as a Knick and now that is in reverse with the season he's having. The more you know! There’s nothing surprising about this, unfortunately. They can’t help but puke all over themselves against the Warriors. It's a bit of a bad matchup, but it's definitely mental at this point. You're Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The league fears you. Andrew Wiggins is not a GODLY defender, just bulldoze that MFer.

Mazulla gave us a sampling of his playoff rotation last night. Sam Hauser played zero minutes in an OT game. If he’s not trusted enough to play in big games, that’s the one rotation spot they should look at upgrading at the trade deadline. The problem is that every team could use a big two-way wing who can shoot and stay on the court in a playoff game and so there’s lots of competition for those guys.

One example: Gallinari and Pritchard for Jae Crowder. They have all three of Smart, White and Brogdon signed for this year and the next two years so Pritchard is always going to struggle to find minutes. Have to imagine they’re looking at the best player that they can acquire for that package as the last piece of a potential title team.

That exception will be an easy way to sign a buyout guy at a premium if we'd rather that than a trade. Though it's rare for a buyout guy to actually be the 8th man in a conference finals rotation.

Too much to give up for Jae, at that point I'd rather go extra small and play Pritchard instead lol.

Wow just wow, I swear I feel like being a cheeseball and just wear Celtics and Bruins apparel every day for the rest of the season. Just go back and forth one day one team and the next day the other. I am so apprieciative forgetting the Pats this season.

In 20 years, Horford might be semi-forgotten by casuals but he’s had such an unbelievable career.
Now let’s hope for some not devastating injury news.

Gutsy win missing Tatum for the entire game and Smart/Williams for the second half. Just hope those injuries aren’t too serious.
