What do you have for numbers? I'm seeing 124 to 134, 141, 148 and 155. Mid-level from 10.5 to 13.2 million. That's not an explosion like the NFL cap. I'd put his value around 12.5 million now and 15.5 million in four years. Only way that deal looks like a bargain is if Grant Williams becomes a totally different player. There’s a lot of speculation the 2025 cap is up at 175m - so that’s cap not even luxury tax number. They are likely to ink a tv seal that’s 3 times greater than the current one. www.forbes.com/sites/bryantoporek/2022/08/05/why-nba-teams-should-already-be-planning-for-the-2025-offseason/amp/Still don't see how that makes Grant Williams a bargain or a 20 million dollar player. Celtics offer was about 10% of the cap, going rate for top backup bigs. Reported at 4 years and 50 million, a very good and fair offer. Only way that becomes a bargain is if Grant Williams takes his game to a completely different level.

Not a good third quarter - not the first time that's happened this year. Celtics should be pounding this team.

Tatum with a complete game tonight. Smart, Brogdon - big time play when they let the Pistons get closer than they should have.

There we go - four 30 plus point quarters. 42 wins. All star game - team can rest and heal. Then they can bring it home in the second half.
Very satisfying first half of the season.

Nice to see The Captain back out there. He played very well and was a force on defense as usual.

That was some of the worst, most lopsided officiating I’ve seen in quite some time.
Celts still cruise.

I get people were upset they rested Tatum vs the Bucks, but after last night, it really made a lot of sense. That type of back and forth travel for back to backs is the real killer for guys. It’s not playing 37 minutes vs 35. Tatum being able to stay at home and skip that travel and not play was good use of a rest night.

Celtics finally let Udoka go and took the interim tag off Mazzula.

Celtics finally let Udoka go and took the interim tag off Mazzula. Joe looks like a legit good dude and I have nothing to complain about his leadership and X's and O's. The Celtics played better defense under Udoka, but they're playing FAR better offense with Joe. I'm pleased, he's been great.

Delighted that it is Coach, rather than Interim Coach, Joe. I like his motivational approach of the players, his rotations - only his "time out" strategy can slightly baffle, but he will learn (and sometimes it works just fine).
Most enjoyable first half of basketball in a long, long time for this team.

Most enjoyable first half of basketball in a long, long time for this team. We won’t know much until the playoffs. There’s good reason to let them play thru situations in the regular season that you wouldn’t necessarily let them go as far in the playoffs. Let’s see how he handles it then let’s see how he grows from the mistakes

Remember when a lot of us wanted them to get Lonzo Ball? Thank God that didn’t happen…

Remember when a lot of us wanted them to get Lonzo Ball? Thank God that didn’t happen… Lot of us where happy when we traded the 8th pick for Kyrie Irving, but had he not made that trade, Danny Ainge draft target was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and he never hidden that fact when reporters ask him. Yes I have been on this site for years now, but closed my account after I seen the worst bullying to someone on this site and not one moderator step in. Sad thing he was right and user just attack him and would give each other likes. I came back and got to use my old username.

I was def on the Lonzo train. Unfortunate that it seems like his knee may derail his career

He’s playing good ball when he’s out there. I like that they keep him fresh too, especially since he’s usually good for a car crash or two every time he sees the floor. Nobody tries to take more charges than that man

Just tuned into this game a few minutes ago. Insane back and forth - Cs giving up a ton of 3s

This performance has actually been pathetic.
Fresh off the All-Star Break, and they can’t be bothered to try on defense.

No one wants to win this one - but the Celts have been sloppy. Tatum is a -12. Missed layups, untimely turnovers.
