Wish we had hockey Doogs and basketball Doogs After last night and tonight, the current Boston Sports Mount Rushmore is just 4 Verdugos And they all have different color grillz. He’s a beautiful man

His foot slid an inch after drawing contact. When you can extend a series for the underdog do so. Also Tucker clearly whacked Tatum in the nuts, something they only aired once. Went straight to commercial and upon the moment it came back to the broadcast we here the refs REFUSED to review it because it was so obvious it was intentional. It was so obvious that no-one origanally knew what had even happened. He should have been kicked out of the game and possibly suspended for a game or more. They glossed right over it. If some of you can over the whole conspiracy angle and look at it logically and yes they have a former ref they fired for his claims that they league before playoffs series sits the refs down to emphasis certain rules that helps one teams style of play over anothers. Its such a perfect system to cheat so much so you could not get caught, that you have to be very naive extremely naive not to think it's very very likely. And yes the Celts D was terrible, the 76'ers without Embid played very very well, but all of that can be true AND also claim that those 2 calls cost the team the game. That's a second hurdle most people need to get past. Your schtick is so, so, so old it is laughable. Wow. Did you see the three straight possessions - turnover, turnover, turnover? The shot chock issues? Yours is such an awful take I am laughing my ass off here. But I will give it to you - you are consistent in always letting the team off the hook by blaming the refs. If you are going to call someones thoughts laughable then it is your responsibility to have actually read the post and not just the beggining of it. I think you helped verify my point unwittingly. I quote, "And yes the Celts D was terrible, the 76'ers without Embid played very very well, but all of that can be true AND also claim that those 2 calls cost the team". Where exactly did I leave the team off the hook? Clearly I didn't. I can also claim the team did not even deserve to win AND that those 2 calls cost them the game. It's akin to when someone is found not guilty and people say, 'See they were innocent', but one thing does not prove the other but it seems we're all wired to some degree to see things that way. To think that Donaghy was a rogue ref is like believe for every crime commited and caught that only one crime was actually commited is beyond wishful thinking here. It's being blissfully ignorant. Whether you believe that or not is one things but everything I wrote before this I see as a clear and obvious truth. Again both can be true, or even false. '

Went to the game on Monday, it's always a little disappointing to drive 3 hours to see your team lose. I remember thinking every time the crowd was chanting "defense....defense" that no one was really playing good defense that game. Not their best at least.
It's not a good look losing game 1 at home to Philly when they didn't have EMbid. Win game two and take one on the road, and I'll feel a lot better about this team.
I might keep my plans to drive to Philly this weekend. Celtics on Friday Sox on Saturday!!!!

Celts not particularly sharp - making some bad decisions on drives into traffic. Wnat else is now. I think they are working on some stuff, but it isn't all working. Embiid 4 blocks already.

Was going to say Boston's D is better - then Tatum missed a three and doesn't go back to play D on an easy jam. Tatum still has some growing up to do.

Ah me - Celts go up by 12, and within a few minutes, bad shooting and sloppiness and the lead is nearly gone. Team can't sustain success - they continually let up.

Good defense led to good offense - lead should be bigger - Tatum picked up 3 fouls - team actually played better with him out - Brogdon, White and Smart all playing well.

That third one was suspect and appeared to be past it's peak. I'd suspect we're more likely to get the breaks tonight, the Sixers in game three and then Boston in game four.

plus minus is such a weird stat. Tatum can't hit anything - yet he is +24. I wonder if he is in his own head - overthinking things. Brown is just flat playing.

Maybe - maybe - we are getting to a point of being a bit comfortable. DON'T LET UP!

Tonight’s performance was so predictable. I would not be surprised if Philly self-implodes in this series with Embiid back and the strangeness of their offense stagnating.
The Celtics are so much better. Game 1 was brutal.

All this domination with few contributions from Horford or Tatum.

See, play like this every game and we’re a dynasty. No team in the league can match the Celtics in two way talent depth. The best player has an off game? How about we win it by 30 anyway lol.
The problem is, like wcp mentioned, this is a very unserious team. They lack urgency during the game and occasionally confidence in the late game execution. Play locked in and no team in the league can touch them.

Shaq or Barkley at half time - "for the Celtics to win, Tatum has to get his points".
Wrong.

Very fun to be in a "wait who is that guy again??" situation in a playoff win! (That guy was Justin Champlaigne I guess?). Glad they turned it on even without Tatum. Now let's see JT play like All NBA.

And I don’t care what kind of mind games Joe has been playing with him, but Grant needs to play. He’s a very good role player and he can hit some timely shots. Fast PP also needs some minutes, give him some run when Brogdon or White aren’t playing well.

Joe is a young coach, played a bunch of the roster to start year, offense was on Fire. Then went to a smaller bench to work on D. Taking it to extreme levels at times. When he figures things out, he'll realize he has a team that can play a bunch of different ways and start to use that. D sucks, no engery in a game, bring in the offensive players type crap. It's one thing I didn't account for and it's stupid on my part, rookie coach in playoffs takes time to adjust. You get so much crap in the playoffs you don't see in the regular season. Let's hope he's a quick study.

Joe got a lot of flack for an atrocious game 1 plan, but he should be commended for how the team played yesterday.

It’s hard to know if his plan was bad or the players were… it’s not like he planned for them to have no energy on defense. That being said, he should have brought Griffin in off the bench in game 1. He’s an energy/hustle machine. I think he’s valuable in that way and can turn a playoff game around if there’s flat energy out there. Use that for 5 minutes to get the guys going.

I respectfully disagree my man, I think they lost the 3-1 Hawks game once they brought Griffin in. He’d get exposed really hard, you should only bring him in to foul someone really hard.

Who was going to expose him against the Sixers without Embiid? He’s a guy to use in a short stint when your team is lifeless. His energy is infectious.
