My main question... What is the matter with Tatum? Frankly, he is awful today. Hurt? Confidence issue? So weird - he is regressing to some degree.

This is not a well-coached team.
Mazzulla has decided to barely play his best defender. He has no idea what he’s doing with these rotations.

Boston needs stops. They need to get this down to 6 by the end of the quarter. Hitting FTs would help too.

Philly is gassed and in foul trouble. The Celts should be pushing the pace and attacking basket relentlessly for the rest of the game.

A corner 3 is flat out the one thing you shouldn’t allow there. Really bad play by Jaylen and Tatum shouldn’t have been guarding Embiid on that spot either. Almost got it on a circus shot though.

But Joe Mazzulla is flat-out bad at his job. I hope he saves his snarky responses tonight and takes ownership for being incompetent down the stretch. |

Philly has played better today than in any other game this series. But it's not like this exact scenario and outcome were predicted by a conspiracy realist or anything. Embid elbows Williams to create distance no call. Harden after bailing his team out with a last-second or two 3, Brown comes right back and gets 2 despite being pushed hard from behind by Harden, but of course no call. Harden drives into Tatum they call a block on Tatum. An essential time out for Philly to see if the ball hit the rim, come one for the love of Pete, that was absurd. Loose ball fall on Horford in OT? Then Embid falls without contact throws the ball up and there is a foul? Really? I still watch hoping the Celts can overcome the 'influential' calls. You may despise what I say but that doesn't make it any less right. In fact, that may be a check for you. I called this beforehand and I was right. Don't get defensive because that contradicts your beliefs. Donaghy was not a one-off or a rogue agent, mainstream taught you for every crime committed twenty get away with it. A can tell you this nearly anytime the term rogue employee is used there is a conspiracy involved, or if you refuse that then it's gross incompetence which is about as bad, either way, it's absurd.
Edit: I loved Horford's post game interview on NBC Sports. I was proud of the growth of the team in the fourth quarter. The growth was ignoring bad calls and also executing better. I wish I had some some more of that in the firth half.
