Given that Cora said Story will not be activated by the Red Sox tomorrow for the important series against the Blue Jays because they don't want to call him up to face major league pitching until he feels he is ready, i am a little confused as to why he is not playing for Wooster tonight.

Re: The Rafaela HR He worked the count in his favor by getting to 3-0 count laying 2 close fastballs (2 seamer down & 4 seamer up) then swatted a 91 mph up and in to LCF. Progress… On the other hand, he stuck out in his 5th AB without a pitch thrown in the zone. Rafaela being Rafaela which is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Another Rafaela HR (he goes back-to-back with David Hamilton). Worcester is a total ‘banbox’…. are kidding there have been 10 HRs hit in the game today and it is only in the 7th inning. Great, Rafaela has hit 9 HRs, but how many convert to the MLB parks with MLB pitching. I hope Worcester puts up something to deflect the wind some there are not so many HRs (certainly not because I do not like HRs, but the inflated ERA and problem cause with the pitchers confidence….like Drohan should feel great because he ‘only’ gave up 3 of the 10 HRs allowed today…?… Syracuse today, but my comment on Worcester stands lol

They must be playing in little league parks….or does the wind blow ‘out’ no matter how the park is oriented? Lol not, Murphy goes from a 7.01 ERA in AAA to a 1.80 ERA in the MLB, must be a relief to face MLB hitter since the AAA hitters are so much better. Lol

Blaze Jordan with his third AA HR. The kid’s bat to ball skill is the most underrated skill in the farm.

Now a general question, what percentage of upper level starting pitcher's innings become starter innings in MLB ? It's a percentage so small it's not worth the time to figure it out.

Fitzgerald with 2 doubles and a homer. When does this guy get a cup of coffee? Sure seems like he's earned it.

I'm a Fitzy fan so I actually hope he gets picked in the Rule 5 this coming off-season. He's earned it. Ever since Nava, I've had a soft spot for guys that came from Indy ball.

Blaze Jordan with his third AA HR. The kid’s bat to ball skill is the most underrated skill in the farm. Probably to his detriment, he makes way too much junk contact.

If you're a scout that's nothing to laugh about.

Scott up to .308/1.052 3/5 2 HRs, Double How's the defense? Is a 2024 Wong/Scott platoon being too optimistic?

Scott up to .308/1.052 3/5 2 HRs, Double How's the defense? Is a 2024 Wong/Scott platoon being too optimistic? Probably not to start the season, maybe if a catcher went down he might get a shot. Visually, he looks marginally OK, not great but I can't imagine the pitch calling part of the job would be ready that fast. He's only been primarily a catcher for a few years and that's how he looks. He's essentially the opposite of Wong in terms of athleticism. I think he has a brighter future than Hickey but not likely next year. Teel will also likely pass him in terms of MLB ready for catching as soon as next year. My opinion, hell end up an up and down emergency catcher with a great bat and could also see some time as a utility player. That has value. In unusual cases like this, opinions are going to vary big time. That's mine.

Worth noting that Scott hasn't been catching a ton in Worcester. 16 G, 14 starts, out of his 37 games since his 6/9 promotion. He's getting like 2 starts there a week behind Ronaldo Hernández (and now McGuire). Doesn't speak to the org thinking of him as a true MLB catcher option, at least any time soon.
For context, Hernández barely played himself while Alfaro was in Worcester, although he's now passed Hamilton on the depth chart, it seems.
