Line-up: Verdugo RF Devers 3B Turner DH Yoshida LF Duvall CF Casas 1B Story SS Wong C Urías 2B Sale P No Rafaela, fellas. Nice lineup tonight, and fun to have Hamilton (as a pinch runner) and Rafaela (as a defensive upgrade) with the team - really adds dynamism and athleticism. Impressive mix of current lineup and new young players rising up who might be able to help spark a postseason run this year and contribute going forward. Hopefully Devers, Turner, Story, Verdugo, Casas and Yoshida can shake off or power through their ailments and really lock in for this final stretch. Go Sox! |

Much like Aaron Judge’s timeframe with his toe injury, it sounds like Duran might not be back anytime soon. Both guys were “fine”, then they needed a day off(but wouldn’t go on the DL), then they were seeing specialists. I don’t like where this is heading.

This series is massive given who the guys ahead of us are playing: M’s at home vs the A’s; Jays at home vs the Nats; and Rangers at Mets. Yikes. Can’t really hope to get a ton of help for a few days.

The one thing I don't like here is Crawford going on 4 days rest in game 3. I was hoping they'd just sit Pivetta until then.

God I hate umpires. Destroyed that AB and forced Devers to swing as balls 4 and 5 in the same place as the should-have-been ball 3.
