www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3928925/jamycal-hastySpecial Teams guy I guess. I think Bill's instinct move would be to trade down. I doubt Kraft would let him do that this time. But I wouldn't rule it out. He's got to get a great player(Ol,WR)and follow it with a handful of good picks that make the team better right away.

NGL the Bills are absolute garbage. Gotta wonder if that window is starting to close. That’s a shame 🥱

The narrative that Bill will always trade back is tiresome and another example of how we see the result and presume we know the process (even though that presumption is counter to the few tidbits of information we DO get).
We can say what we want about Bill and where he is now but the idea that he's interested in taking a lesser player just seems preposterous to me. Instead, based on what we've been "given" over the years, his draft process is more likely:
1 - He has a much smaller draft board than other teams (this has been stated by media members and former colleagues and competitors) 2 - Based on his draft history, we can also glean he evaluates players differently (one example being that he values special teams contributions more than others). This could put players higher on his board than others (or, certainly, the internet boards which is the best we can get at league consensus) 3 - When it comes his time to draft, he'll look to trade IF he feels he can get the right value for the pick AND get the player he wants. - Heard a little of this but, admittedly, this is where we inject the largest assumption (that BB would use his Economics background and logic in his process). 4 - If said value in trade isn't there, he'll make the pick. This, combined with #2 is likely why we get some "overdrafts".

He’s always said the draft is part of the team building process and for 20 years he was drafting for a contender so drafting guys that could fill specific roles made a lot of sense. Drafting a developmental player who can’t crack your rotation and adds nothing to special teams makes little sense in that regard. Now, especially after this season, let’s hope he sees things differently and realize there’s a big talent divide and maybe the draft strategy needs more upside play.

Raiders claim Jack Jones. Antonio Pierce coached him in both HS and college Pros: Coach already knows him. Cons: Las Vegas not the ideal location for building off-field trust.

Yeah I'd claim Michael Carter, you get another year of control and you need another RB for next year!

The only way Bill is not here next year is if Kraft takes the draft away from him and Bill gets pissed and resigns. Coaching is not the problem. The lack of talent is.

The team is constantly taking undisciplined penalties that never happened before and even has multiple people acting up and missing curfew. We have reached the shelf life with the coach. It usually happens 15+ years sooner than this. We should be grateful for the 2 decades and mutually part ways. He can go to a situation more ready to win now, and we can get some life in this building. Tbh I don’t know how anybody could watch them week-in and week-out and say it’s a well-coached team. It’s just not. Hell even outside of the undisciplined and unfocused play the coaching decisions have been objectively bad. It took him way too long to kick Onwenu out to RT when everybody wanted that forever. And he benched our clear best WR for too long in back to back seasons now when we’ve had a shit offense (Bourne last year, Douglas this year). The personnel decisions are worse than the coaching decisions-yes- but the coaching hasn’t been good either.

It depends on what you mean by coaching. There have certainly been some questionable coaching decisions in terms of who plays (rookies making mistakes and not seeing the light of day even though they are the best options) and who plays where (not playing Ownenu at RT knowing he was the best option).

We've lost so many games the last 3 years because of poor special teams and lack of discipline (or "do your job"), the hallmarks little edges that aided our prior success. Just as the coach rightfully got credit for instilling the things on Tuesdays/Wednesdays that showed up on Sundays, he should get blame when they have eroded so far.

Andrew Callahan this morning claimed the Patriots locker room is out on Mac by about 80-20.

Based on practice reps, Mac is still the starter (took first reps and Zappe/Grier practiced with backups).

Andrew Callahan this morning claimed the Patriots locker room is out on Mac by about 80-20. I like Callahan but this is so stupid. He talked to a small subset of people and yet came up with a mathematical representation of the split (or the player/players did?). What? I don't doubt a significant number of players are out. Maybe even a majority. But to know enough to represent that in this way is absurd.

If Bill sticks around it wouldn’t shock me if he looks at Baker Mayfield on the market this summer. I know it was reported that they liked him as a draft prospect, they just had no realistic way to get him

But it increases his profile & surely Fellah and Mazolli will have him on to discuss and maybe traitor Zolak too. Once Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen tire of the nothingburger #FakeHairShill gives them on the regular, maybe it will lead to a national profile. Such are the games they play.

And now Rob Gronkowski is saying Mac Jones should ask for his release saying he's not respected in New England. That after Callahan claiming it's an 80-20 split. nypost.com/2023/11/15/sports/mac-jones-should-ask-for-patriots-release-rob-gronkowski/I don't know why the immediate response on here is to shoot down reports. Just like JuJu's knee. He hasn't missed time over it, but he's clearly not the same player with Zolak during games saying he lacks explosiveness and burst off the line during games. These guys get told the wrong stuff on purpose at times and can be wrong, but usually where there's smoke, there's fire. I wouldn't be shocked if Mac starts against the Giants. The team doesn't care for Zappe and Mac is still a better QB, which is a sad situation for this team. Though, Bill raved about Boutte and then benched him so who knows.

In fairness I don’t listen and I can probably give you the storyline they’re ranting about for each team, it’s usually the most negative take possible designed to get the most interaction. Pretty predictable.
