I have major worries about our coach and I'm going to be critical of him. This team once again has a ton of talent, it's about Championships now and right now our biggest issue is likely our coach. Has everyone forgotten the playoffs already? I don’t have major worries about Mazzula, questions sure, but he was put in an impossible situation last year and the team did well. And he’s showing me the qualities I want in a coach this offseason which is someone who’s willing to grow and isn’t just set in his ways. I’m going to happily give him time and enjoy watching him and this team grow. His game management down the stretch again Miami with the timeouts was a 180 from what we saw last year. That’s something I look at as encouraging. This team under most coaches will do well in the regular season, it's crazy talented. I gave Mazzula his honeymoon period last regular season and the post season was crap coaching wise. You seem to be a fan of what coaches say, I'm a fan of results. You think I'm negative, I'd say you're overly positive. The growth needed from last year would be crazy. I certainly hope I'm wrong, he just needs to earn it and frankly we won't know that to playoffs. So sorry in advance but last years playoffs is burned into my brain. When I see things I don't like, I will point them out. I'm so sick and tired of being outcoached in playoffs and this teams time is now. No more being happy with good regular seasons and good playoff runs, it's Championships or bust. Maybe you don't agree, that's fine.

No more being happy with good regular seasons and good playoff runs, it's Championships or bust. Maybe you don't agree, that's fine. When it’s a young coach or player that’s developing, yes, i look at their attitude and what they say about themselves to get a gauge on if they are open to growing or set in their ways. Mazzula is clearly open to growing so I do take that as a positive. Will he? Well we can only know with time. So far he recognizes they need to be differnt in some areas offensively so cold shooting nights don’t automatically kill them. That’s a big positive and they won their first game despite a cold shooting night. Last year he was terrible with timeouts and he did a great job with them in that Miami game so that’s s positive. Can’t read much into any of these things just like you can’t read too much into them being clunky on offense these first 2 games as it’s a small sample and they are working in new key pieces. So no, I don’t think I’m overly positive. I’m just giving them a chance and don’t expect 180s on a dime. Things take time.

Porzingus is 5 of 6 on post ups 8 minutes into the game.
Hopefully, UMASS is watching this game they are living as the rim.

Scal basically saying what I said- don’t count on this bench to score a lot…and that’s fine! They’re not going to be a primary scoring option when out there so just do your role!

Huge game for the starters. Not so huge for the bench - though hopefully tonight will end up helping them. Three down, increasingly dominant wins.

Avdija fits perfectly into the Grant Williams trade exception…
Solid defender. Friends with Porzingis

First quarter shot chart… most of those 3s were Brown in the last 4 minutes already up 20

I’m not too worried about the bench scoring. They have four starters who can average 20+ points a game (25+ in the case of Tatum and Brown), plus two other players who can give them decent point totals. They don’t need Pritchard or Hauser to be jacking up a lot of shots. Just spread the floor and play good defense.

If this was 2018 I would be pretty concerned about that Clippers team

How the heck did the Clippers overpay this bad? LOL There’s only so many options when you need to match salaries, plus the Clippers are in a more desperate situation than Philly.

Doesn’t mean you don’t want guys who can score or pick up some slack but I agree with the points that have been made. Danny Green getting waived in Philly. He’s the type of veteran I could see being important in a couple key post season games in 10 minutes of action.

Honestly not sure how I feel about this for the Sixers. Technically makes their team worse but trying to keep Harden would have raised its own challenges. Not sure who the Sixers try and trade for now (Pascal Siakam? Buddy Hield?) but I'm sure they'll be active in an effort to build a winning team around Embiid. Best case scenario for Boston is probably that they can't find a trade target this year and hold onto their assets for the summer, ending this season without the talent to really match up with Boston/Milwaukee.

Not much the sixers could do to concern me tbh
They have to beat us in a playoff series for me to start taking them seriously. Until then we have them in our back pocket
