A lot of defensive players fell. I know it’s not the biggest need but this team needs high end players, if that guy is on that side of the ball then take him. Don’t force a need.

Yeah JPJ isn't a huge need, he might be the best and safest offensive player available. I have to remind myself, this rebuild won't be one year. No draft will ever check all boxes.

Last night everyone came out with their draft grades. Last year I did a long post on draft grades so I wont repeat. But two points which still get me.
(1) its not clear what is being graded: (a) the amount of talent being added, or (b) the talent added given the draft slot.
Some graders focus on (a) some on (b) but most do some mix of the two.
For example: everyone is giving the Bears an A or A+ for the Caleb Williams pick, which suggests they are using criteria (a) and not (b). The Bears added a lot of talent, but how difficult was it for the Bears to choose Williams at #1.
However, if grades are based on criteria (a), then there should be almost no high grades for todays picks, since the best talent is already off the board. But I guarantee that many of the same graders who gave the Bears an A for Williams will give out As again on days 2 and 3 which means they must also be using using criteria (b).
(2) there is a weird distribution of grades. Many graders give like 75% A or A+. Unless they don't like a pick, in which case it gets D or F. There seems to be very few B and Cs. For most phenomena you expect most of the probability mass in the middle of the distribution, here it is concentrated in the tails.

Moved down 3 picks to move up 27 picks from round 5 to round 4 Last night the consensus was the talent drops off a cliff after the fourth round this year, dropping down 3 picks to add what should be a solid difference in talent between the 5th and moving to the 4th appears to be a very good move. The Pats must have multiple picks they like at the same tier here. Edit: and or are highly confident the team picking before them will go in a different direction.

Moved down 3 picks to move up 27 picks from round 5 to round 4 If there is one missing bit of information on the internet, it's a quickly updated list of all NFL draft trades. It exists nowhere that I know of.

Jump ball winner and can’t get separation is the last thing we need at receiver.

His production would’ve been ridiculous if Odunze wasn’t there
I saw him more late 2nd but I’m ok with it

Everybody compares him to Meyers with a little more juice after catch
Most also see him as a day 1 starter
Pretty clear the league doesn’t like something about Mitchell as much as the scouting community, whether that be performance/medicals/character idk. If it’s character I could see why a young team trying to establish a new culture would avoid the possible headache

Nice! Polk is really good. Not sure about ceiling but it’s a double down the line.

Doesn't always play 100%, but it was only a few people. Talking about Mitchell, not Polk.

I know nothing of Polk, but comp of Jackobi Meyers? I love Meyers, but they feels underwhelming with having the 2nd pick of the 2nd round, no? What did they get in the trade down? I'm just getting caught up.

I thought McMillian the other Washington WR was Meyers comp but faster without contested catch abilities?

Give me Jaylen Wright next pick Wright would be a nice pick as would Benson. I was going to say Suamataia, but he just went to KC at 63. Like the IOL guys now. Mahogany, Beebe, and McCormick. ...and Benson gone at 66

Like Fisher/Alt, wonder if that had to do with Fashanu being there. Ht/Wt seems fine for LT. Though I'm also seeing some say he could contribute immediately at RT or G so maybe this has nothing to do with LT. UPDATE - Wolf just said they believe he can play LT so, there you go.
