Big picture: The good news: Hal isnt his daddy and all he does is whine about what he is spending and will lead the charge for a salary cap next CBA. The MFY should regress as the year unfolds.
The bad: i dont think the O's have hit their stride yet and have a new owner.

Did the Red Sox just become German? I can't remember this bad of a memorial day showing since the English sunk the Bismark...

Escalated to 1-8 RISP and 10 LOB. A Memorial Day game we will not want memorialized Sox: 1-10 w/ RISP, 12 LOB, 1 unearned run allowed
O's: 5-14 w/ RISP, 5 LOB, 0 unearned runs allowed
Flip those stats and this game would have gone very differently.

This is sure looking like a season of appreciating the growth of our younger players more so than team results. With that in mind, I would really like to see quality starts from Bello and Crawford against this very tough line up.

"Tyler O’Neill, who left Saturday’s game after seven innings because of right knee soreness and didn’t play Sunday, is out again."

He was throwing free orioles hats down to the lower bowls today, it’s very bad. Lifelong orioles fan, he’s gonna pay to keep them good. I don’t think he sees them as an investment like FSG does with the Sox. As we’ve seen with the Mets it doesn’t guarantee the Orioles will be good but I like their foundation more than the Mets foundation

Its amazing the Celtics have such a high luxury tax bill every year to keep that team together, considering Monty Burns owns the building and not the Celtics.

Brad Keller was a puzzling acquisition The Red Sox got him just in time to pitch mop up. He and Anderson can give the competitive bullpen members a break this series.

I’m a cup is half full guy on this season. May have found 3 regulars in Duran, Avery and Wong. Tanner Hauck is looking like an ace. I’m not writing Ceddanne and Grissom off either. I’m already sold on Casas. Still have Devers. Easy to see a very good lineup once the Big 3 arrive.

It’s nice having length out of the low lev arms - guys like 2022 Barnes and pre-LAD 2023 Brasier were tough to carry when they weren’t good enough to protect leads but also good for almost strictly one inning appearances. It’s one way we were gassing the bullpen, besides all of the short starts.

The bad: i dont think the O's have hit their stride yet and have a new owner. It could just be about trying to establish leverage in the upcoming Soto race. Hal saying payroll is untenable and payroll actually going down are two different things. If there’s one thing we ought to have learned from our C-suite crew, it’s that it’s totally optional for statements made to the media to have any basis in reality.

The MFY should regress as the year unfolds. I wouldn't bet on that, Cole hasn't thrown a pitch yet. His rehab is going well and he could be back next month.

There's almost no chance of Soto leaving the Bronx. Just like there is almost no chance of Roki Sasaki not choosing the Dodgers.

I hope our “kids” (Abreu, Bello, Bernardino, Booser, Criswell, Duran, Grissom, Hamilton, Rafaella, Slaten, Wong) stand up to their kids. I wish Casas and Yoshida were on that list. I like how two of our kids are 32, lol A 'young' 32...!

Still no O’Neill today, who had “right knee soreness” the other day
Duran LF, Abreu RF, Refsnyder DH, Devers 3B, Wong C, Smith 1B, Grissom 2B, Hamilton SS, Rafaela CF

Time to put Bello on the IL...
He has had nothing, nada, zilch since coming back from the IL earlier this season

Is Bello tipping his pitches? The Orioles swings look too comfortable against 98mph sinkers

Is Bello tipping his pitches? The Orioles swings look too comfortable against 98mph sinkers They hit 5 ground balls in the inning, 3 of them sub-90mph EV. That's sort of what Bello wanted them to do, no? The problems were the BB, HBP, defensive miscue, and BABIP.
ADD: Whereas the Red Sox are smoking the ball so far...
