This complaint was specific to how it affected Bloom's tenure. Note that not one of those players was meaningfully valuable while Bloom was here. That was always the issue, a total dearth of cost controlled talent for those years. I was just having some fun, and I think this is a fair point. But the complaint was much more than that, and in the end, CB didn't have a development machine in place that would appear to have been very helpful to players like him reaching his ceiling. Drafting is only a portion of getting someone to The Show. Credit to Breslow for that in this case, although, I don't think even he could have envisioned what Houck has become. I digress.....not a one typed it. LOL. Im just rereading this and understanding what it said. Sorry Jerry but I think you’re being incredibly selective on credit here. Bloom gets no credit for Houck or Crawford or Bello or Duran or Casas developing into good players during his tenure? All those things happened while he was here just too late for him to personally benefit from.

I've never seen a Liam Hendricks interview before just now. Dude is a joy in the booth. I hope he's able to give us something at some point.
We have a lot of likable players. When the mediocrity stops (and I think it is imminent), we're really going to enjoy this a bunch.

I actually want to clarify what I’m saying here - I don’t think Bloom personally deserves credit for this. But I also don’t think Breslow or Dombrowski do. If you’re giving Breslow’s org specifically credit for the development of guys rather than Bloom’s I think that’s unfair and also a misunderstanding of how different most of the player dev personnel is

I've been watching baseball with intent since 1981, and I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that mess.

I'm watching on mute — was Crochet trying to challenge the play at first by throwing over, and Andrew Vaughn didn't get the memo? That was wild!

I like TON, but man he is fragile. Can’t extend him long term (it was unlikely anyway) so I think he’s an obvious trade candidate
Refsnyder instantly making a sick play is fun though

Why is Westbrook going into CF instead of the infield?
