This game would feel must less worse if we just beat the Royals on Wednesday

Two walks for Ceddane (could’ve been 3)

Despite me begrudgingly hating rushing Casas back, I can not wait until the Dom Smith Era to end. For shame !!

Let him walk you, Romy.
Did you hear me, Romy? That was ball 4.

BREAKING NEWS 1-10 RISP 9 LOB
NOTHING is more frustrating than having no clutch hitting and a pen that wastes a good start. This is painful.

Up there for most frustrating game of the season. Squander after squander, terrible ABs, bullpen addition implodes. Sometimes it’s just not your night I guess.

Abreu through Smith in the line up are 0 for 18. That's not easy to do.

Bullpen getting rocked is not fun.

Wong as a number 5 hitter is legitimately insane. Been terrible for over a month

This game would feel must less worse if we just beat the Royals on Wednesday This and that they’re doing a bullpen game tomorrow - the odds of which go well are uh… not incredibly high

Scoreboard - Twins won first, winning second, Royals ahead, Baltimore won. MFY rained out.

Bullpen getting rocked is not fun. But it happens every night. So I'm just used to it at this point.

I hate losing to these A**hats almost as much as I hate losing to the MFY.
Edit: Houston is a really gross place, which makes it worse. NYC at least has some widely scattered charm.

Kyle Barraclough? Chase Anderson? Where are youuuuu?
We have a KMart blue light special pen with just a few exceptions.

Does Booser need to go back after this or is having a baby a loophole to avoiding the “must wait X number of days to come up after being optioned”? When you're up, you're up. That said, Bello will be back in 3 days and I think Criswell can be activated whenever, so I can't imagine either Keller or Booser has a long stay. If a promotion is as an injury replacement, does it count as one of the five times we can recall a player in one season? I think this is four if it counts, meaning we could only option and bring him back one more time the rest of the way.

It's really getting to the point it doesnt matter who Cora calls on in the pen - they all give it up.

Hou is 6-12 RISP. It really makes quite a difference, yes?
I keep telling myself the good stuff is next year and beyond - the trading deadline moves were just status quo moves to not move talent.
Doesn't make it any easier to watch this, though

Tough game. Just hasn't gone the Red Sox way from the 7th on.
In retrospect, wonder what would have happened if
1. Houck had been allowed to start the 7th. If someone gets on, go to Martin, and plan to go to him anyhow to get through the Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez gauntlet...
2. You let your hottest clutch hitter, Yoshida, take his turn with two on. Obviously, the moves Cora made worked to some degree as Devers got a crack with the bases loaded, but I would have loved to see what Yoshida might have done there. He has been up to the task when it matters most and his confidence is there right now.
